I think that if there were a God, He would let each "worthy" person hear him.
SO IF YOU HAVE HEARD GOD (or His HOLY SPIRIT) THEN ASSUME THAT GOD WILL GET AROUND TO THE OTHER WORTHIES AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

He'll call us if He wants us.

Inkie does make some valid points.

Billy is just voicing his opinion and of course, I am sur ehe thinks his opinion matters more than others, LOL !
I guess humility is a Christian virtue that he is still working on ;)

Inkie, Im not saying I hear nothing, Im saying its not a voice in my head, but a voice , or inner conviction in my heart, its this voice thats speaks to me regularly that I know is the holy spirit, from my heart then to my mind.Thats the best I can explain it. I think when non Christians hear Christians say God spoke to them and said such & such, they are picturing an audible giant voice come down from the sky. Im just saying its not like that for me and I think that maybe that is was what Billy was trying to say.

I thought Billy Graham was dead.

Is this Billy Graham Junior? Or are we hearing the voice of Billy Graham from beyond the grave?

Being called ignorant by someone who is delusional...

    I find that somewhat amusing...

OTWO: And you say that you were an elder for how many years?

I think that if there were a God, He would let each "worthy" person hear him.

No one is worthy, OT, no one. God chooses to have mercy upon whomever he chooses to have mercy. You do know this, don’t you.

SO IF YOU HAVE HEARD GOD (or His HOLY SPIRIT) THEN ASSUME THAT GOD WILL GET AROUND TO THE OTHER WORTHIES AND KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

The voice that is heard is that of the Christ, not God. Christ. Christ. Christ. Christ. Not God.

He'll call us if He wants us.

You are so right! And we all should hope that he calls us all and encourage others to listen.

    Undercover: You are too funny.

The voice (not voiceS) is not a voice per say, not an audible tone that sounds like James Earl Jones or Yul Brenner or The Old spice guy, LOL!

It's the voice of our heart, our concsience, our spirit that KNOWS what is right and is trying to guide us, complete us as only God can.

When we were born God gave us a bit of his spirit and that spirit has been with us ALWAYS and it talks to us, tries to help us and lead us and direct us to LIGHT, to all that is good and love and hope and faith, direct us and guide us to God, the course of this love, of the spirit in Us all.

How do we know this voice is God? that it is good and right?

God is love and in God their is no darkness, no hate, no anger, no jealousy, no judgment other Than God's Judgment and if this voice leads us to anger, to hate, to despair, to cause pain, to cause suffering, to not accept, to judge others rather than to leave that to God, to NOT LOVE then that voice is not the Spirit of God that delivers Us.

Believers can either (1) respect/accept some sort of authority (Vatican, WT, Billy Graham, etc) or (2) feel that's it's a personal thing, with each person knowing what it means to be a Christian and follow Jesus.

Among the individuals who feel it's a personal thing, we observe massive disagreements with mutually exclusive beliefs.

It's as clear as mud, to outsiders.
