It's not easy to just resign without raising huge questions. It takes time to lay the ground work if you want to just fade into the background. Even when you resign, sometimes the BOE won't accept your resignation (look at OTWO's experience).
This is an important point. I don't know of ANY currently serving elder on this site who plans to keep on doing it for the rest of his life. Things take time and there is a right time to step down and get out.
you are indeed correct you may read whatever you wish. As long as you reconize it makes you as big a hypocrite as any elder that ever lived. Cause you were smart enough to leave.. but you still read what comes from the org.. even if it comes from an elder..

I am not a cut and paste type person. I believe you did say that exactly. That an elder in such a position would be "giving a ticket to freedom" to a member and that is not bad? Perhaps I misunderstood your meaning.

I think its quite ok of you to wonder whether members/elders nosing here on this site expect their to be an Amaggedon for them to live through or else if they snuff it they hope for a resurrection....
As you know I left Oct 09 and it took me to the beginning of the year to start to lose these expectations,. so I would expect elders still in the WTBS to probably still hold that belief until they realise the real truth....

*sigh* I will answer the questions posed one more time.. Personally, I have been asked and aswered these very same questions on at least three different threads and the answers will be no different this time... I also point out that they are "loaded" questions in that they are asked in such a way as that the answers you desire are already evident. For the record, I will not be answering the inevitable follow up questions.. so here we go...

I dont serve the WT anymore now than I ever did. If I "served" the WT I wouldn't be here. Thus the "loaded" aspect of your already answered, mockingly asked question.
part 2... what the hell do I know abut the big "A"... I'm not Jehovah or the Christ. One would hope to survive any event caused by the creator (it beats the alternative) but everything I have ever been taught my whole life was based on the publishing company's agenda. I therefore doubt it all. I havent come to any firm conclusions as of yet about the future of the earth or my personal destination. I also do not wish to discuss it on this or any other thread, but I think that covers my view of the big "A"..

Yes it is a personal attack. Only an arrogant ass would try to tell me that asking "why I still serve the WT" isnt a personal attack on the choices I have made thus far.
