In other words, Reni-bator will not answer any questions that may incriminate the WT.

LOL The purpose of a debate is for the onlooking audience. Reniaa, i would doubt you have convinced any onlookers of the validity of the org. Hell, you have not produced one, one singular valid argument or point.

    The power of religion-

When I was an Elder a young woman was having difficulties in childbirth, her uterus ruptured. She and her husband refused a transfusion at the hospital they were in, she was Life Flighted from Bishop Ca. to Long Beach Memorial, a trip that took several hours. I met him in the Lobby at 2:00AM. We sat together while she bled out. The baby survived, she is about 30 now, she grew up without her mommy.

I hold the shame of that night to this day. I stepped down as an Elder in 1989.

Debator: Catholics or babtists... well, i would evaluate the groups after the BITE model. Both catholics an babtists have elements of cult thinking (more so the babtists, i think, but I believe the babtists are rather diverse?) but it is not reinforced to the degree of the witnesses. Ie. as far as i know, a catholic is not strongly told not to read certain litterature, or not associate with a close family member.

Being a cult is not a yes/no question, it is rather a scale - but you allready know that since you are remotely familiar with how eg. Stephen Hassan view the subject?

Now i have answered TWO questions of you regarding if a given group is a cult. So how about you? Are you still not going to answer the extremely simple yes/no question you have asked of me: "Is scientology a cult?". I am quite certain i am not the only person here who go: "Oh yes, ofcourse Debator wont answer that..."

Absolutely not answering that one because first again it is only indicative of my personal opinion!

It seems to me you are afraid of facing compelling arguments because they will force you to actually think for yourself. God forbid, you may even be forced to change your thinking, something that WT doesn't want to happen.

I am well aware you are trying top build a situation where you are trying to say if B is a cult then A is a cult also but that simply doesn't fly because we are a Christian faith so please you tell me are other Christian religions like catholics and Baptists a cult?

So, a "Christian faith" can't possibly be a cult? Where did you learn to reason like this?

WB even sadder to see so many in the clutches of the former belief system we called the "troof" and sadder to see the blatant covering up of these vile predators that that WTS carries on doing.

Are you false prophecying by your own standard? Witnesses are a cult because you say "governments will think they are a cult at some vague future time"?

    Jookbeard

Witnesses are a cult because they had a pedophile member? I know of a parent and teacher who was a pedophile does that make the Parent, Teacher association a cult?

Circular reasoning! you say they have more in common with scientology? by whose opinion? the same steve hassan book that you are cold-reading witnesses into using biased information?

    Hi bohm

My definition of Cult is when it is established as a cult by the human-rights organisation. But Witnesses have been upheld as a religion by the European human rights court and it doesn't get any higher than that in the world.

It says a lot when the world itself doesn't call us a cult but those that hate us do. In this case we are indeed following Jesus's example when the jews vilified him in their hatred and even Pontious pilate knew he was innocent of the crime they were trying to convict him of.

The world knows Witnesses are innocent of this title you are trying to hang on us in your bitter hatred.
