Do you guys realize that thousands of people were impaled/crucified by the romans? Did they all sweat blood, knowing their manner of demise? Was jesus the only one who did so? What a wimp.

Satanas Did they all sweat blood? Who knows? maybe some of them did. Maybe a lot of them did. I'm not sure anyone kept a record of this.

I can't say that I think sacrificing yourself willingly is wimpish but one thing I do know. If he is a wimp, then give me the wimp any day. I would rather have him in my life than the people who laughs at him.

    What a wimp.

LOLOLOLOL! Says a person using a vague and ambiguous avatar as an identity on an Internet website, dear Satanus (peace to you!)? IMNO, it is only when one lets completely go of one's own fears can one properly point such a finger at another in this manner. Until then... one might want to look at those three fingers pointing back - LOLOLOL!

    Peace!

If he sacrificed himself, willingly, where does his stress/dictress come from? Two places/things resist the spirit, the animal and the ego. The animal part of man wants to survive, eat, reproduce. The ego wants to survive, perhaps even more that the animal part. Did jesus have an animal side to him? Did he have an ego? The spirit part of him would have had absolutely no reistence to dying, and perhaps not much to suffering. The spirit would have lept at it, for the sopposedly positive results/outcome. Would the animal and ego been impediments to him, after 30 yrs of facing trials and doing good, supposedly living his life perfectly? Would he not have subdued these human facets, long before this?

Did jesus have an animal side to him?

Yes, dear Satanus (again, peace to you!): the body of flesh, with its blood.

    Did he have an ego?

No. Indeed, he is the only One, among man AND spirit... that doesn't.

The spirit part of him would have had absolutely no reistence to dying, and perhaps not much to suffering.

Nor did it, as to either.

The spirit would have lept at it, for the sopposedly positive results/outcome.

    As it did, dear one...

Would the animal and ego been impediments to him, after 30 yrs of facing trials and doing good, supposedly living his life perfectly?

The animal was always an impediment, as it is to us; however, unlike us, he conquered his animal nature (his flesh). Where, though, may I ask, did you get that he spent 30 years facing trials and doing good? His trials started after his identification and baptism by John the Baptizer. Which was when he was 27. Prior to that, few (including his own siblings) knew who he was... and why he was here. So, what trials? And his "good" deeds did not occur until after he received holy spirit... which occurred directly after his baptism. Prior to that he lived a fairly quiet, obscure life... awaiting the "appointed" time. Are we talking about the same person?

Would he not have subdued these human facets, long before this?

He had indeed learned to subdue his flesh but that does not mean it wasn't an impediment (and certainly it was for a being who had previously occupied a free, spirit vessel). But an impediment does not mean an absolute obstacle and once he received holy spirit, he received additional strength (because he had to use his flesh... to do good: he healed people by taking THEIR "sins" - illnesses and diseases - into HIS flesh. So, his fleshly vessel was certainly a challenge. Yet, even then, he did not curse God... but set his mind and heart to the task before him... and fulfilled it.

HOWEVER... during the time that he was tried and impaled... he was without the help of holy spirit. He really was on his own. So, while he may have been able to oversome the cries, strains, and demands of his flesh BEFORE... simply relying on that holy spirit... he wasn't able to in the end. In the end, the "hedge" was removed so that he prove... WITHOUT QUESTION... that the decision was in indeed his, that his sacrifice was a willing one... and that he was not numbed, shielded, or otherwise protected by God (through holy spirit)... in ANY way. Indeed, the Most Holy One of Israel removed His holy spirit SO entirely... that my Lord thought he had been forsaken. He was not. He was simply allowed to be like us... in ALL respects: existing, sometimes, without the benefit, assistance, and protection... of holy spirit.

I hope this helps and, again, peace to you!

Absolutely no argument there, dear one (although I have come to be very fond of mine as she actually looks more like me than you know - LOLOL!)!

Gods spirit removed?! Was jesus not god? How then could he not have the spirit of god, BE the spirit of god? Did he cease being god at any time?

Contrary to what you may have heard/been taught (because many believe it), dear one (again, peace to you!), my Lord is the Son and Holy One of Israel, not the Father and MOST Holy One of Israel. The two are not the same. One in union, yes, just as the members of the Body of Christ are one in union with him... and, through him... with God. But no, he is/was not God. He possessed the spirit of God, holy spirit... which is the breath, blood, semen, and life force of God... because, as God's Son, those were placed IN him. He, in turn, places it in those who belong to HIM.

    Again, peace to you!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

'But no, he is/was not God.'

    Ok, whatever.
