How could Jesus be ruling the world since 1914 yet Satan is the ruler of the world?

“The Ruler of This World”

The Bible states: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (John 12:31; 1 John 5:19) That “wicked one” is Satan the Devil, a powerful spirit creature who is described as “the ruler of the authority of the air.” Satan promotes “the spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience.” (Ephesians 2:2) Some crimes, such as genocide and child abuse, have been so horrific that many find it hard to attribute them to mere human origin. However, does this mean that God is indifferent to our suffering? Can he— will he—do anything to end it?"

How can it be that Satan is the ruler of this world and "the whole world" is in his power, and yet in 1914 “The kingdom of the world did become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will rule as king forever and ever.” (Rev 11:15). It is the Watchtower Society's official teaching that Rev 11:15 was fulfilled in 1914.

Is the world ruled by Satan or Jesus? Does Jesus have world power or Satan?

Can a JW apologist please explain to me with scriptural support exactly what Jesus has been ruling over since 1914?

Oh, um, thats right-the f&ds has all of Jesus' authority. As does the gb.

You know, I never questioned pretty much anything at all when I was in, but I always asked myself this exact question.

A better question might be, "If Jesus has been ruler of the world since 1914, why does Jesus need an Organization to do his biding? Does John 1:1-15 and John 8:12-30 make it sound like Jesus needs an organization to do his will? How good of leaders were the Pharisees for Jehovah that Jehovah sent Jesus into this world?

He's ruling in heaven but hasn't turned his attention to the earth, yet.

That's why Satan is having his way with all of us.

Well, in all fairness to Jehoover, since a thousand years is only a day to him, it's really only been about 45 minutes since Jesus sat down on the throne in heaven. Not really a lot of time to set up a post-war, I mean pre war strategy. Even though there was already a war, and Satan lost it, there has to be another war, which Satan will also lose. Then, after a thousand years of Jesus-rule, Satan makes a comeback and within a few months undoes all the good that Jesus accomplished. Then there will be a third war, and Satan will lose yet again. And Satan just plays along with this game which he knows he cannot win. He knows he cannot change the outcome, because the Bible is the Word of God and what it says must come true without fail. So he's just a spoiled sport who is so hateful and vengeful, fearful and pitiful, that he just wants to take everything down with him. But he was evidently the first creation of the Jesus and Jehovah tag-team.

I guess its three strikes and you're hopefully out, but you never know, there could be some nu lite.

Even if you're God, these things are complicated and require careful planning. You can't rush into eternal governments irresponsibly.

1st war: Satan ousted down to earth to mess with people.

2nd war: Satan abyssed then released to mess with people.

3rd war: Satan destroyed after messing with people.

The 1914 date created by the WTS was always a self marketing doctrine to attract the publics attention, for most part it worked particularly with

people who already had a Christian based background.

The supposed end times and signs of the times plays into this clash of the gods.

There have been alot of stories put out by this publishing house.

Maybe it is like the US government. Satan is the ultra libral Democrats, and Jesus is the ultra conservative GOP. Jehovah is the President. Prayer and faith are the votes and Sin is the lobbiest. When they want to put Jesus in place as the new President, they can not get a 2/3rds majority. As Jehovah wont vote to leave and Satan would never side with Jesus. Basically, it functions like are government all the way to the end. Three groups that a lot of people have faith in getting things done, but because they all have their own agenda, nothing ever really does get done.
