Sorry NB...Brookings did a study and the USA is in the bottom percentile in economic mobility. A person born at the bottom of the rung has a far greater handicap than many Western and European countries and the vast majority born at the bottom of the ladder will not reach the next highest rung. sammies

You guys are making a very good point. I expect that any day now the simple man is going to rise up and overthrow these rich pigs that are keeping them down. You know, the same way they're doing it in Libya and Egypt and Yemen. It sure is going to be scary when the politicians and their rich Capitalist cronies get what's coming to them.

Sammie, I was just looking at those graphs and noticed one pecular thing.. There is no single country other than the US in all the slides.
That's an informational bias there..
Interesting facts, especially when you look at the prisioners per population and murders per population. I guess were a pretty angry bunch.
