Cofty, I had written this long story about myself and my two sisters who have/had breast cancer. I erased it. I'm sorry to hear that you have this disease. I hope that all your treatments are easy on you and that you come out with no evidence of disease (NED) when you're done.

You won't be alone in the fight with cancer; I've done surgery and chemo; and I think that I will start radiation tx's this month.

So sorry to hear about this Cofty.... the best of wishes to you in this battle. It really sucks but I can tell by your attitude that you'll get through it.

You probably know about how I'm always advocating the power of consciousness. Eat a lot of fresh vegetables. It also might help to meditate a lot, imagining pure cleansing water from "heaven" (the universe) coming down into the top of your head, flowing through your entire body and into the ground, flushing the toxins out. Also think to yourself that you can consciously change your DNA with your own thoughts. It's been proven in recent brain research. Please give these two links a look....sorry I'm on Firefox and can't activate them... just highlight, right-click and open in new tab.

Hugs to you cofty. I had endometrial cancer 9 years ago and had a full hysterectomy. They took 8 lymph nodes out and it had gone into 3 of them, but had not spread beyond that, so that was good news. I also had the 6 weeks of going for radiation, but fortunately, suffered no side effects from it!

You'll go through a variety of emotions believe me, and they're all completely justified. It can be a long haul but please know that you've got lots of support here.

Thank you very much everyone. Just knowing people take the time to send best wishes is really encouraging.

I will let yu know how my first meeting with the oncologist goes. The partner of a friend of mine is nurse who is going to check up on the reputation of my surgeon so I will feel reassured by that - or else I will sack him and get a new surgeon!

I got a phone call from my mum and dad tonight - wow! My sister has promised to call later. It would appear cancer is "necessary family business". I actually have a lot of sympathy for the conflicted emotions they must be feeling right now.

    Hi Cofty

Very sorry to hear of your problem. Many here have had similar experiences and are with you at this time. I had CC but didn't need radiation, just an operation. That was 5 years ago and I am going strong. Keep positive.
