PALM BEACH, Fla. – While polls across America show Barack Obama in a tight race for president with potential Republican nominees, top-rated radio host Rush Limbaugh doesn’t think the outcome of the race will even be close.

“If the election were today, it would be a landslide loss,” Limbaugh said this afternoon. “Let me define landslide: five to seven points. It’d be big. It would be huge.”

“Make no mistake about it,” he continued. “Of this I am as confident as anything. I know it’s not reflected anywhere else in the media and it’s not reflected too many other places in conservative media. But I’m telling you, he’s toast. Just as Jimmy Carter was toast, and nobody knew it until election night [in 1980]............

Mitt could walk into the Halls of Congress and yell 'You're Fired!'.

Rommey won the New Hampshire primary. But I hope he does not get into a position of power. I do not have much hope in these politicans.

With Mitt's well known wishywashyness the Senate and Congress are probably licking their chops to turn him every which way they can.

I see either Mitt being the nominee and losing to Obama or Newt as President.

I used to see it that way, (note that Mitt was always going to be the nominee) - but now I think it is about 50-50 odds between him and Obama. It all depends on the growing numbers of independents, in my opinion.

If unemployment hits 8% by this summer will the GOP arguement be 'we could have gotten it there faster'.

8% is still a horrible number. The stimulus was supposed to prevent us from ever getting to 8%, remember?

I just have a growing gut feeling that something else is going to come along and upset the apple cart.

I think Huntsman is the lone sane guy of the GOP but his best idea of changing tax laws and undoing regulations (always undefined) will boost the economy, while a good idea, will take 2 years at least to implement which is 2014 at the earliest.

Iran and Europe are big concerns and domestically housing and construction are just now bottoming.
