Surely you can see the problem of knowing everything.
Yes, that would be a problem.

Surely you can see the problem of knowing everything.
Yes, that would be a problem.
The problem of knowing everything is solved by memory degradation over time.

The two forces are
1. phenomenon that is CAUSED BY MAN can become a force for bad. (warning is you will reap what is sown)
AND
2. phenomenon NOT caused by man can become an unseen force for bad. (counsel is listen and be wise)
Maybe we should just have left it at that...
...which unfortunately would eventually make you unaware of your own existence. That covers forever backwards and we can already prove that forever forward exists.

OK Eve in my opinion does not represent the first homosapian. She is the first one to "eat" of the knowledge of good and bad. We know by now that those genes are now shared by all. I think it's called the seven degrees of separation.
It is on topic. Wow!
You can't see it? I know you can't. I'm sorry.
The knowledge tree has to do with what WILL BE. Some people get feelings of what will be. The race is not able to manage* that knowledge well. And doncha know many (all?) haha people want it!
I don't know what else to say.
*Here are some good words OK!
pull off , negociate , bring off , carry off , deal , care , handle , cope , get by , make out , make do , contend , grapple , oversee , supervise , superintend , wangle , finagle , do , accomplish , achieve , act , administer , administrate , attain , bring home the bacon , come through , command , control , deliver the goods , move , reach , succeed , win
It is on topic. Wow!
I will be the judge of that.
Speaking of judges (I'm going off topic) I told a brother when I thought there was hope (I thought there was hope); How does anyone know for sure that the thousand years hasn't started yet?
(I'm going off topic)
It's OK, it won't be the first time. I have given you practically Ferrari immunity as far as "off topic" status goes.
I have decided that you are really never off topic, nor are you ever really on topic.
@j_wood : It is Jewish myth, pure and simple - a primative attempt to explain mortality.
Its actually not a myth, its as literal as all the other tree He gave them permission to eat of, and i agree that the "tree of life" was meant to give eternal life, it was also to sustain the mortal flesh from corupting or perishing.
Gen 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Here we see that after adam & eve had attained the knowledge of good and evil, they would not have begun to die had they got access to the "tree of life"
@Tec: Yeah I was taught that in Sunday school too. But there's no basis for it.
Actually there is
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
She might not have eaten the fruit straight away when she took it. I suppose that is why the comma(,) was put there to outline her actions as follows. She probably took the fruit, went to her husband before eating it herself and later giving it to here husband.
@N. Drew: Why say that bioflex? I wondered why there were two accounts of man's creation.
I believe it is clear that both accounts of creation covered different aspects, the first covered the creation of the entire universe and everthing that is in(including man). But the second account goes into the specifics of mans creation. If the second account was not written we would never had known that God first created Adam and later created Eve from 1 of his ribs to be his perfect companion.
What does "really on topic" mean, please?
