If you don't believe something in the Bible and I do,

I would not say you were wrong. If you had read my post carefully you would realize that is how I view the Bible. Not all of it is FOR me. I did not say all of it isn't true. OK? If you believe something in the Bible (but you don't) and I did not believe it I would come to conclude I am not you.

can you tell me one really important thing that the bible says which is a result of mistranslation or "lying scribes"

I do not know what is important to you.

And this is my one day I go out for myself (yoga) so I think I don't have time today to find something good, that would not matter to you anyway.

    How about thinking about this:

For man to gain more and more consciousness of the world around him Gods became his tool they became his way of making sense of the world very early in this process. Hey we can logical see why early man and his projections made so many gods, like the sun, the planets, the milky way the tree, human emotions, etc...

So psychically we have perhaps millions or hundreds of thousands of years in the human development of the God image. I do think there are pitfall to an Atheists psychic state when he is too one sided especially when this attitude is a modern one and out of whack with eons of human psychic evolution.

But also one views of Deity or deities has profound effects on one psychic growth and formation of ones shadow and strongly effect them for good or bad depending.

I have not written any of my translations down. I have BIBLOS that I refer to. I have shared many discrepancies that I have found on forum and on blog. I have come to conclude even believers don't care what it says. Not all, but some. I believe in a living God. I believe God is love. I always have. I did not know that God is wise and good, now I do know that. It is hard for someone to share their findings of good and wise as everyone is different. I will find a scripture about God's goodness that was mistranslated to make God look bad. But probably not today. I have yoga (for those people who reply to a post with out reading it). OK?

N.drew - And if you had read my post carefully, you would have seen that I didn't accuse you of being wrong in your view of the Bible.

But two people, or dare I say two Christian people, arriving at two different conclusions of what is truth based on the Bible, sounds like dissent to me.

As we often put on the JWs, you can't have two truths. Therefore, two believers can't have a disagreeing point of view and still both be right. No double standard is acceptable in either group, in my opinion.

: Edited - The 1st part of this post didn't even make sense to me. LOL

    N.drew, I love buffets too!

You are probably referring to something. But I don't know what it is.

The only contention that I had with any fellow believer that I am aware of is AGuest believes "wheat" and "weeds" are people (it is also the WTSociety's view). I believe that people have wheat and weeds growing IN their thinking process.

Is that what you refer to CoC? Or something else?

Also N.drew, you said the Bible, or the word, or whatever you'd like to call it (I don't mean that disrespectfully), can't be perfect.

Right. So let me get this straight. I'm not supposed to follow imperfect men because they eff up people's lives and don't know the truth. Check.

But I'm supposed to learn about and follow Christ in a truthful way from an imperfect source and accept it as truth about him because it sounds right to me? Seems rather strange.

N.drew - My buffet comment refers to what people are doing in their belief of the Bible. How do believers have a relationship with Christ but disagree on parts of the Bible?

OK The Bible is for believers.

Who said truth is not strange? LOL

But your point you make is correct. People are not to follow. If people did not follow people there would be no war (as in fighting a war). God is a spirit. Believers follow a spirit. God is love. If we persist in following The Lord who leads us to find The Spirit we get salvation. Salvation does not mean an arrival. It means power.
