Yes, the worst thing they do is push aside the Son of God and put themselves in his place. Like the Pharisees they are sitting in the seat of Moses.. and they can't see it!

21 Under three things the earth quakes,
And under four, it cannot bear up:
22 Under a slave when he becomes king,
And a fool when he is satisfied with food,
23 Under an unloved woman when she gets a husband,
And a maidservant when she supplants her mistress.
Proverbs 30:21
Ah yes... drama queens come in many forms.
I greatly enjoy them all.
Jehovah cleans my toilet.
Jesus gave signs and pointers as to who his people were " in the last days"
Yes, by the love they have among them.
A lot of people here left the witnesses because that 'love' was lacking.
Jehovah's Witnesses are as much a part of "Christendom" as any other denomination.
Peace,
Tammy
Please remember that LOVE is not LIKE. Jehovah's Witnesses like one another.
God is love. So what "love one another" means is show the same interest in one another that God would. It is impossible for God to lie. So lying is evidence that they DO NOT LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
A sister early on lied to me. She had been there during the 70s folly so I asked her about the gossip I heard that the JWs said the end would be then. She said no, it was just the speculation of a few.
Luap,
Welcome to the Board. Rather than just post what you have been told are the facts about JW's versus orthodox Christendom, I would suggest you study in depth the origin of those beliefs you criticize. After you have studied the facts, then you can make comments in a credible manner. This type of study may reinforce your belief in JW teachings, change your thinking to accept orthodox Christendom's belief or reject both teachings. The key to be taken seriously is that you have to be objective and accurate in your pronouncements.

Actually it worst than that. Most people don't know what jws are about and frankly don't give a damn. There something much worst than hate and it's called indifference.
Great point MrsJones!
When my eyes were finally opened and I would tell people about my JW past they are astounded at JW beliefs. Its sad that an organization that is supposed to be spread knowledge and yet no one has any idea what they are about.
Only delusional people think that the whole world is set against them, why? Because watchtower programs people to have guilt and fear or everything around them. When a jw is programmed there is no reasoning with that one. Bible? Who says NWT is the best translation? Who translated it? And what qualifications did they (he) posses?
These programmed ones also too stupid to realize that people dislike the twisted, lying deceptive organization and not general JWs! But if we must speak of these lovely people in general, why is there so many problems with depression, suicide, child abuse and others hidden crimes all within the congregations? Very lovely world they would create, I would propose taking all these people and placing them on the island all on their own and see how long they would survive without everything the hard working society provides for these people who are leeches on the system.
As for preaching and growth. They preach because they are forced to, general witness thinking is that if they don't go door to door they won't make it to the new system so they do it. You remove this BS teaching and the preaching work would come to a halt almost immediately! The fear of dying would be gone and guilt of not working for the big guy would be gone as well, only very few would do it. Preaching work is not genuine! As for growth? That's a funniest and dumbest point witnesses bring forth! LOL 1.7billion hours spend preaching, with 260,000 baptized! Most baptized are born-in who were programmed from childhood which for most part have the most miserable upbringing. That gives you 6,500 hours to get one baptized, if we imagine that half of these were recruited which the number is most likely quite smaller, but with 50% recruits that would mean JWs need to waste 13,000 hours to find a sucker! That is sad! If witnesses were interested in actually reaching the public they would use tv, radio, internet and billboards to spread the message not knocking on empty homes when people are at work. Mormons have better success in reaching people because many times they call on people in the evening, in fact I only have Mormons call on my house in the afternoons when people are home and not when homes are empty! Door to door is an exercise in futility to keep witnesses busy and away from thinking too much on stupid doctrines they believe in.
So instead of coming here and telling us total shit, why don't you get your head out of your ass and do some research into your deceptive cult. Why does wts need to misquote others and show partial information to try to support their beliefs as can be seen in their last articles dealing on Jerusalem's destruction? Why are misquotes used on regular basis by wts articles?
I agree with Tenyearsafter. As a JW you are discouraged from looking into your own religion. I was in for the whole of my 50 years believing everything I was told. After all it's from God isn't it? Then I found out that it wasn't...
Why have you come here? Do you think you can convert all of us? I could tell you JW teachings inside out.. I can tell you all about the way they get to 1914 without using the reasoning book or anything else. I've spent since the age of 5 when I learnt to read studying JW literature from the 'Paradise Lost to Paradise Regained' book and everything else since... hundreds of Watchtower studies, book studies in all the prophecy books, Babylon the Great has Fallen, Revelation Climax. Never missed a single District Assembly (except one when I was in hospital). Brought up my kids to believe it all. Then I found out the truth.
I'm not the only one here in this position... so please don't come here and tell us what JWs believe..... WE KNOW!!!
