Well, truthfully I was never a jw (just an unbaptized born-in) but since tat was all I knew for the first 20 or so years of my life I can understand your fear. But because I know the jw truth to be a totally lie I have no fear what god may think of me for leaving.

In answer to your last question, taking it literally and not relating it to the thread title, YES !!!

I think you need to do a lot more reading and thinking Msgrowing, read LWT's first post above properly for a start.

Then read old threads on here, use the search button, and you will soon see that the prophecies attributed to Jesus, the Gospels, and the Book of Revelation and much more are not to be taken as the WT presented them.

We are not living in the Time of the End, we are living in what we call the 21st Century, which is high time we stopped reading into the work of goat herders 2000 years ago or more , some sort of message for us.

It is high time too we stopped believing in anything for which there is no proof, a realist, naturalist view of the universe is a much better way to look at things.

You are seeing what you want to see, and trying to attach great significance to completely arbitrary events. And you are attempting to use these assertions as proof to validate a belief system that is completely unprovable.

This question implies that you believe 'God' is playing a huge game of Gotcha!, in which people with incorrect beliefs will be destroyed, even if they are good people who follow the Golden Rule. This concept of God is promoted by cults, high-control groups and religious fundamentalists. If you examine why you believe this, it's most likely because of WT indoctrination and literature.

My life is better than when I was a JW. I am happier, calmer, more satisfied and I laugh and smile a lot more. I have not become dedicated to any other charitable pursuit.
