To the one's that feel threatened:

Mexican Influx Comes to an End

"The net migration flow from Mexico to the United States has stopped and may have reversed," says the report, which is based on analysis of U.S. and Mexican government data by the nonpartisan Pew Hispanic Center.

The standstill, according to the report, results from declining immigration from Mexico paired with a rising number of people returning south from the U.S. Those trends recently converged, and between 2005 and 2010 about as many Mexicans left the U.S. as flocked here.

I am American b/c of accident of birth. Despite believing in its virtues, I never sought to be an American. I was just born on American soil. Not everyone is so fortunate. Naturalized citizens have to prove some knowledge of American civics and history. I wonder how many American high school students could pass the test.

I still believe this is FLA's business.

It seems my stories I hear that it is much easier (unless you lie; commit a felony; overthrow the government) to be admitted that it once was. The bar stays out of your politics and lifestyle today for the most part.

What annoys me no end is all the rigamorale for recent grads of law schools. No one expects anyone to remember what is on the bar exam a few weeks after its administration. Once admitted, no one searches you out to see if you still competent. Medical doctors must be retested periodically. Not that I am suggesting that that is a good idea. I've heard very sad stories. The focus on a fleeting moment in time seems strange.
