LOL! Cantleave, where else could you find a discussion that branges from old Norse Gods, to Jehovah's witnesses and the genitalia of leeches!!!!

ElderE, you're right, and I'm very relieved to hear you're talking to the great and good god Thor in the time-honoured manner he prefers. I was worried for a minute there that you'd started to hear voices....

Yes, he IS down to earth, isn't he? That's what I like. No messing. Just a hammer and a guy who looks after his friends. Suits me!

I wonder who had all the 700+ different leech species on the ark? Add in the myriads of other parasites needing to be saved from the flood ... Man, that must have been one happifying year afloat...

No one other than Myelaine thinks that you are gonna burn in hell.

OMG! Seriously you need to start reading our post's

It was allegory for "not getting the lovely rewards for obeying the voices". But seriously, at least two of the posters here have said at least some people are gonna burn in hell and at least one warned me that the voice in their head said if I didn't start getting my act together and worhipping it then it was gonna get me good and I would regret it with a subtle subtext that I would pay with my life.

No where has myself, Tam, Shelby, NL, JM posted about a hell... It doesn't exist

Tammy just posted that God would comsume some in fire. Can we get clarification on that?

I get the feeling you want to be told you will be burnt in hell, just so you can remain obnoxious.

Just like every other Xtian that likes to tell everyone what I am thinking or why I am doing something....you are wrong on this.

What does that mean exactly Tammy? Where do you learn to talk in riddles like this?

Wasn't a riddle. If you aren't riding out to destroy those who are in the kingdom, then you don't have to worry about being destroyed.

    "consumes in fire" = ?

Not sure what exactly that means (it does not mean burning in hell though).

    "ride out against" = ?

Self explanatory I thought. Those outside the kingdom coming against those within the kingdom to destroy them.

"destroy those he has promised to protect" = ?

Those within the kingdom belong to God, have His protection. His covenant is with them. It is not that He (or those who belong to His Son) has a problem with live and let live... it is that they have this problem, and will not allow those within the kingdom to live. This is long after Christ has returned for His own (those within the kingdom are the sheep; those outside are the goats)

Christians have this annoying habit of talking in metaphor while pretending they are saying something. It was something I found so frusrating when I was a christian and still do.

Well, hopefully that clarifies... if not, then it will have to wait until I am home. I am driving back in about an hour and it is a good 6-7 hour drive.

    Peace,

    tammy

At least they all agree we are all gonna burn in hell. It's nice to find some commoin ground when arguing about whose right about the voices they hear. -

This is a curious statement. No one other than Myelaine thinks that you are gonna burn in hell. Not Shelby, not tec, not WS, not Noblelodge, not Justmom...

not sure why you think otherwise. You aren't listening to any of the other posters if you do think otherwise. Tec

See my post to Cofty above for clarification. I do not believe in a burning hell, and I do not think anyone is going to such a place.

    Peace,

I was thinking about this behavior over the past few days. I have an acquaintance who I recently found out is a Hare Krishna, so I started looking them up. What do I find on various discussion boards when active Hare Krishnas respond? The same thing: talking in riddles.

They don't even know what they mean, as demonstrated by tec in the following:

cofty: "consumes in fire" = ?

What DOES burning in hell mean, then?

Self explanatory I thought. Those outside the kingdom coming against those within the kingdom to destroy them.

Physically? Mentally? Spiritually? Is this time to a specific time or event?
