It is also a symbol of a criminally unequal society.

    SBF - yes, that too!

it's OVER ,,, it's OVER ,,,, we no longer feel that just because you are born into a twisted, inbred group of "better-thans" ,, have the right to rule the world.

The British Royal Family is what? People who were born into a family that used to rule the world. Now, they are nothing more than a figurehead, and a money-waster.

And what about Diana's death? Do you really think that was an accident? Let's just shut the mouth of someone who speaks truth. No, I am not a fan.

    :)

talesin no current member of the Royal Family is or ever was a Nazi sympathiser.

Prince Harry made a stupid error in judgement by dressing up in a Nazi uniform - it was 7 years ago when he was a daft student. He is now an Apache Pilot and an officer in active service. What on earth has that got to do with anything?

You are not seriously suggesting Diana's death was a conspiracy are you?

james, you made a good choice! What with climate change, the maple sugaring industry has taken an huge hit. (I have a friend who is in that business) ... but you are welcome in Canada any time.

How can you know that? I think there is pretty good evidence against Edward VIII and possibly others.

cofty. You need to have a look at the evidence on Edward VIII. Like I say, makes no difference to the debate but I think he was certainly close enough to the nazi regime to ask them to look after his properties in France whilst they were occupying it. He also visited Hitler in 37 and did full Nazi salutes. Tempted to say we will never know but as time passes I think we will find out more. Perhaps the evidence points more stongly to him being an anti-semite than a nazi sympathiser.

Old enough to know better, too young to resist. No kid "I know" would make that choice. It shows, to the world, how little he and his family care for the wrongs committed during the Holocaust.

This kid is a PRINCE! A PRINCE. He should have know/been advised better. Nope, that action spoke volumes to the rest of the world, and I would say to you, listen. It spoke volumes about the lack of respect the Royal Family has for anyone else. He was old enough to know better, but just didn't care .. oh,,, it's a one-off, you say? Okay, then. I disagree.

haha, yes very funny. But the truth remains ---- he WAS a Nazi sympathizer.

Read my comment above, and you will see how I feel. He was just more open about his political leanings. Would YOUR son dress up as a Nazi? If he did, would you have a few choice words to say about it? Exactly.

Cofty - I think Harry dressing as a Nazi is important, but not because it shows him to be a Nazi which is unlikely. Cedars has pointed out that Queen has done an excellent job by being so diplomatic all the time. If I grant him this, this is only part of the role for a monarch and royal family. The other part has to be to prepare the next generation for those roles and part of that is to not do daft things that offend people. I would suggest she has not made a great job of that with her children. Granted young adults will do silly things the fact that he had not by that age worked out that dressing as a Nazi would offend some people suggests to me that the Windsors are not doing a great job at instilling the diplomatic duty in the next generations.

I am sure you are right about Edward VIII.

What has that got to do with anything. He was persona non grata for many years before he died.

Talesin - I'm having difficulty understanding your vitriol. Diana's death was not a conspiracy that is complete nonsense.
