Siam: 00Dad the quote is from the 5/15/12 issue in the "Times and Seasons" article.

Continuing in the Kingdom-preaching work in these last days requires faith in Jehovah’s timing. The changing world situation may call for some changes in how the disciple-making work is carried on. The organization may occasionally make adjustments to address the needs of our activity as Kingdom proclaimers. We demonstrate faith in the God of “times and seasons” by fully cooperating with such adjustments as we serve loyally under his Son, the “head of the congregation.”—Eph. 5:23. - Emphasis added - w12 5/15 p. 20, para. 15

    Thanks!

If this is true, it has to be something about the religion, a certain belief or beliefs, why else would it be so important to get all elders on board with this in such a short period of time with an emphasis on helping the sheep accept the change, it wouldn't make sense for this to be simply a change in the way appointments are made or even a non-disclosure agreement for elders.

Balaamsass: Having ALL the elders turning in old flock books and get NEW books with a signed non-disclosure agreement under supervision would be common US business practice. Anyone refusing to sign could be removed on the spot.

I could totally see them doing that, however that would not be a "doctrinal change" but instead a change of JW Policy & Practices.

Perhaps they will make the ministry a personal decision (which they have to know would mean an end to field circus for at least 50% of dubs). Cost saving in literature and less liability for them________Mickey Mouse

    Hello Mickey Mouse,

The WTS already falsely claim that field service is a personal and voluntary choice

to avoid liability of anything that could happen in field service, but We know diferently

We know how they shepherd the flock wit their " lovin' counsel "

It does make you wonder how they will do D2D in the future

A lot of interesting speculation going on here.

Whatever it is, it will have something to do with the GB trying to gain MORE CONTROL over the R&F--including the local Elders--while at the same time somehow also having LESS LIABILITY for their actions.

If they find a way to obtain those two seemingly mutually exclusive goals it might just be proof of Jehovah's backing after all! ... Nah, just kidding!

On another note, since we've speculated a change in the way the ministry is conducted perhaps they start instructing everyone on how to use their cell phones to increase their ministry via text messages:

    • PReaching via Texting = PREXTING

Prexting for Jesus. It's the next big thing!

I personally hope it is some kind of "plan" to reign in the free wheeling elders that are "allowed" to carry out all their (the Societys) Judicial decrees, frankly.

Under training, plus the political mindset most elders have is what is driving people away IMO.

Yes, doctrinal changes would look very significant but the real loss of believers is occuring quietly one by one and family by family at the hands of elders who bungle their sheperding responsibilities.

The GB is not intermediary between Jesus and Jehovah?

I can imagine the next up and comin' WT article, " ARE YOU PREXTING OR SEXTING "
