The two witnesses full of power prophesing but eventually being killed only to be resurrected again inplain sight of all to see, eathquakes killing 1000s of people, the 7th angel's trumpet, the ark being seen in heaven, etc.

You conviently leave out the numeric figure of seven thousand deaths in the earthquake. What you consider a minute detail I consider a required piece of the puzzle.

Never been a big fan of numerology ... Is there a reason you focused on numbers?

Why do you read the Bible and not acknowledge it's numerology? You must take into consideration of all known factors or you will not come to the correct result. I don't focus on the numbers, I acknowledge their importance in the symbology. Do you see the difference?

Faith.. believe in what is unkown. Non-concrete.

Trust... believe in what is known. Seen by five senses.

I've seen what numerology can do, 144K anyone?

I take into consideration all the factors my friend, I just don't give extra weight to numbers or codes.

Yes, I see the difference in that you acknowledge the numbers and not focus on them, understood.

SO, do you have faith or trust in love?

Nor do I. I was speaking about the polarity between Good and Evil and how that is represented by numbers and symbolic language in Revelation 11, 13 and 20. Then you said I was focusing on numbers, but of course I was then because I was speaking about the numerology of Revelation and their reflection of Good and Evil.

Sigh... I have to leave for a bit.

Guest, I promised you I would read the whole of this thread and then come back to you, and I have.

I like what you say. You say things that I know but you say things differently so that they seem new. Because your new way of saying things is unfamiliar, it makes me think, and that is good.

Because I have now read every post on this thread I have got to know some of the people here much better than I would otherwise have done, so that when I see them on other threads I can understand much better what is going on.

A lot of it is not what I expected to find on this forum, but I can now see what is happening.

Thank you, Guest, and several others whose names I don't remember just now.

There have always been things that are stumbling blocks to believers and there always will be.

    1. Inconsistent external message

    2. Atrocities commited for religion

    3. Lack of evidence

    4. Internally inconsistent

    5. Ever changing message based on current societal values

    6. etc.

You are quite welcome, dear Benjie (again, peace to you!). I may restate them differently from what you have been used to but it's only because I now hear them differently from my Lord. They are not mine; I do not know these things, but he does - they belong to him, and he only permits me to know them... and asks me to share them with you. He asks. He does not demand. And so, I do so willingly.

There have always been things that are stumbling blocks to believers and there always will be.

For a believer, there is no stumbling block, EP. For non-believers, including those who SAY they are believers, but truly are not, there is only one stumbling block: the Holy One of Israel, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah) - God's Son and Christ. He is the stone over which many... many... perhaps including yourself... stumble. See him, though, and there is no more stumbling. Because, as the true Light that came into the world... he can and will guide any who wish through the darkness so that they do NOT stumble.

    Peace!

    A willing slave of Christ,

I'm more stumbled by Krishna. He's bl**dly blue. In fact I'm stumbled by all kinds of utter religious garbage. You can barely take a step before someone pops up to tell you some confusing, subjective and always made up concept that is of zero use but is always some form of social sorting ( with the teacher taking preeminence.) Reject them all, be stumbled by faith based woo and recognise that when it's tough walking through the cowpats that the answer isn't 'try harder' it's 'get out of the field'.

Does anyone but a JW naturally use the term 'stumbled' ?

"Stumbled" is used by JW's and some Protestant fundamentalist sects, Qcmbr.

i first encountered it over half a century ago when we were on holiday, and a group from a fundamentalist Pentecostal church had a block-booking alongside us. They included a large group of teenagers who were overheard taunting one of their number with being stumbled.

That was the last time I'd heard it till I somehow took a wrong turning and landed up in JW land.
