I don't want to rain on the parade but I believe letters to HQ will be shredded by a low in the food chain drone never to be seen by the paedophile protecting GB.

To me the way to fight is indeed as stated to hurt them in the pocket book.

The most effective way is to raise awareness of the disgusting cult manipulation. To tarnish the name of watchtower(R) beyond repair. It's all about gettting information out publically.

Not hearsay. Not personal opinion but by exposing the true nature of the cult to the nations. This will slow their growth even more as people avoid the JW cult like the plague it is.

Raise awareness in whatever legal and appropriate way possible.

How about this, we all send letters to HQ, flood the mail room with letters.

Sorry but this wouldn't work, the GB have control over this entire organization and they are even more pressed to subdue and hold on to

the devoted followers. Now that the GB are in sort of a information war with the inter-net, its not surprising at all that would crank up

the shunning policy to protect themselves.

Write to Human Rights organizations, I wrote a letter to UN but haven't received anything back - and probably wont. WTS has money and power to lobey such groups to their own benefit and these groups will try to support WTS ideology as freedom of religion because WTS is big enough to be viewed as a legitimate religion. When these bodies hear a complaint from one individual it simply is discarded as a complaint from disgrunded member or opposed public. It took years for child abuse to become eye opener for the world as a real problem. So is the view of shunning based on religious law even though today many people simply ignore the problem as each ones right to choose, which religious shunning has nothing to do with freedoms to chose.

Email human rights groups, your local politicians, if ex memebers could actually unit and do something as a group rather than as an individuals we would have better chance at affecting governmental bodies as to how they allow religions to treat its members/ex-members.

Writing to WTS will only enpower them to come out with more articles against those leaving, as this is the only power they have and a main weapon that makes them a cult. It is the governmental/judicial bodies that can only put an end to such vile practice and those are the bodies that x member should appeal to. Until x members can unite in something, we're figthing a losing battle. You know that once WTS loses the power to shun there will be more people that leave, more people will have freedoms to choose and think for themselves, it may take several years or a decade after the end of shunnig policy but it would change for the better.

Suray Khan: I think the problem today, there is a great crowd (us).

The fact that they are constantly harping on shunning ex members,

there is a problem. Years ago a small number, today every family (JW)

are effected by the shunnning policy. Iam not sure, but the number

of ex witnesses are greater then members.

And to think that this Kingdom of slavery was created upon lies, ignorance and corruption.

Well I guess thats the reason why we are here exposing this to general public and to any JW lurkers.

Lawsuits against the local Elder's for defamation of character. The Elders will quit df'ing because the WT lawyers do not really have their back. When they Elders disobey, will the CO remove them all? Then what?! The 20 year old MS's will have to take the lead? Will the CO's and DO's do all the preaching?

What about petitions to the Government to examine the WTBTS's charitable status? Send letters to Forum 18 and the UN?

    Yes Fink

ignorance , was used to enslave. Thinkin' they knew what was best for others

    who were different from them

Then lies followed to excuse the corrupt practices of what became a profitable institution

I'm not sure, but the number of ex witnesses are greater then members.

That very well be a valid point, considering the amount of people who were once involved but eventually left.

Assuming there is now 8 million world wide JWS members, there might be 10 + million who were at one time associated with this religion world wide.

The shunning policy by this organization should be looked at as a pointed platform of spreading hatred within the general population as well

creating prejudice against non-believers and even toward other religious faiths.

Particularly so if a once JW member decides to leave to go to another faith or religion. Instructing family members who are still in their religion

to shun that other family member who has voluntarily moved on .
