Remember all the letters we wrote to Malawi? I wouldn't mind using the wtbts's own tactics against them. If you want to start a letter writing campaign, to Anderson Cooper, for instance, I'll happily write some letters. Pick a theme, a time period so the most letters arrive at the same time, and contact all the other exJW forums too.
It,s time to fight back, this is getting out of hand.

So it seems that the majority feels that Anderson Cooper
would be a great idea. So who will step up and coordinate
our efforts, I am not a good coordinating.
Start a new topic with the details. What issue should we
focus on (shunnning). When to start the campaign, who
should be the representative if we get a call from A. Cooper.
And get some kind of idea how many will write letters.

Sign me up friends! I'm still in relatively good standing and haven't suffered as you have, but I see what a nasty cult this is and is becoming.
They're really tightening up on the dfd ones because they know people talk to dfd family. Even elders do because their human instinct tells them it's wrong to let your daughter and grandkids starve because she made a bad decision once!

Lisa Ling host of 'Our America' does interesting documentarys and has had a large focus on weird American religions. Seems to fit her storylines. I can hear it now...
"Most of us simply know them as the people who knock on our doors and talk about the end of times and how we can live forever. The Jehovah's Witnesses typically fly under the radar but what don't we know about their beliefs and pracitces. And why do so many people, including those who have left, call this religion a dangerous cult..."

More publicity, campaigns and complaints to all human right organizations with solid evidence. Eg WTS own articles (policies and teachings), real life stories (eg suicide cases, letters etc), cases of refusing of blood transfussion and it's effects, child molestation cases etc...
What is happening now in Australia should be happening else where too, it's baby step towards making the public aware of the cult and its danger.

Probably a door to door awareness campaign?? Spread information (neutral & factual) about the religion (leave no space for them to sue you etc). Lead people to look for info in great websites such as jwfacts, freeminds, silent lambs etc..

Would it be legal to go door to door with information about the cult?????? I am already trained for this haha.
Also what would it cost us to get our own lobby?
How about the bilboard campain?
Would a tv commercial be legal? Maybe advertising one of the great books available? Just had a funny thought, a super bowl commercial, all the jws would be watching lol.

The Watchtower does not have exclusivity on being an arsehole organization.
There is no better way to hurt any corporation than by the public learning the truth about them. In commerce people say it by how they spend dollars, in politics it's by voting. With religion its by walking out or slamming doors.
The way to go is the media, there is no point in an attack on HQ itself. The media will, if provided with accurate information, do it for us. Thay will not lead to the Watchtower getting shut down but they may well force them to change like it or not. And if not, then it will stop them growing.
