Desirous of change: "hate crimes" is it possible to file

A class action lawsuit against the wt?

Punkofnice: "The most effective way is to raise awarenes,

tarnis the name of the wt, raise awareness in whatever legal

and approprite way possible". Give us a idea, as a collective

group, give us a agency so we can direct our efforts to one source.

diamondiz: " write to Human Rights organizatio". Give us a name.

Again we need a collected effort, thousand of letters.

Emailing my local politician, personally I feel it,s not a good idea.

My local politician may receive maybe 50-100 emails, a few disgruntle

ex-members. But if you make them aware, don,t worry about roughing

feathers and loosing votes, these people don,t vote.

Ignat: I agree "letters matter". A few thousand letters to the right

    agancy should make a impact.

Cedars: we are anxiously awaiting, please give us the details.

Humbled: Great idea, but you wont get the support. There are those

that are still in trying to hold on to the little communication they

still have, that,s why public demonstration don,t work well.

Finkelstein: Same as above, " A peaceful protest". Now Anderson

Cooper would be great. What would happen if he received thousand

    of letters.

Nonjwspouse: "Bad PR is effective, it makes people Think".

It will take all of us to make a impact.

My thought, we send letters to a human right organization.

Give us a name someone, I have pen in hand.

humbled --- YES, the signs the apostates were carrying intrigued/interested me and I wanted to call that 800 ask why 1914 or something like that but didn't. I think as much anti-watchtower literature as possible needs to be presented to the educational facilities, courts, law schools, UN, etc., --- everyone breathing. There's so many ex-witnesses writing books -- and that's great but I don't think this grabs the public's attention like the Watchtower/Awake have.

People need flyers w/warnings and protection against the cult -- we'd have to organize.

Suggestion: For every letter that goes to the WTS, make sure that at the bottom you put:

cc: New York Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS, BBC, etc., etc.

Making sure the media gets the message will make it much more difficult for the WTS to shred and forget.

TS: "It doesn't have to be like this and it wouldn't be so if all of you would come back to Jehovah. Taste and see that he is good."

I wouldn't taste him if he showered for an hour and was dipped in chocolate and rolled in nuts.

"Lawsuits against the local Elder's for defamation of character. The Elders will quit df'ing because the WT lawyers do not really have their back. When they Elders disobey, will the CO remove them all? Then what?! The 20 year old MS's will have to take the lead? Will the CO's and DO's do all the preaching?

What about petitions to the Government to examine the WTBTS's charitable status? Send letters to Forum 18 and the UN?"

Thank you DATA-DOG. I think these are really good suggestions. Local elders could be a soft spot to target. If some local elders should get lawsuits against them , we would probably see a lot of elders and MS stepping down. Nowdays every congregation is a separate unit, probably this was made to cover up the asses of the WTS. But every gongregation as separate unit could be a really soft spot for the society if they have problems finding loyal elders.

What's wrong w/lawsuits against the mother w/tower? I'm for all of the above.

How about contacting major law schools for some ideas -- the think tanks out there and beg for help.

There must be a lot of people with JW background. I remember some statistics stating that only 30-35 % of kids raised in the JW becomes active JW. 65-70% of those kids leave the organisation, most of them probably before being baptized.

We also have a large and growing group of faders/inactive publishers.

And, I kinda think, there should be ways to engage the larger community even beyond the witnesses/ex-witnesses issues.

And thats the idea behind protesting at Assemblies where people's attention can be drawn up.

Hopefully the media will see that or individuals can mention that there's a large public protest going on at JW assembly.

You could actually turn the event into apostatefest and go out for dinner afterward and socialize.

The whole intent is for the betterment of the general population and to incite thinking into people that are attending those Assemblies.

I know that is been done before but if its done large and obvious, the rest of the public will take notice.

The biggest score of accomplishment would be an national broadcast on TV programs like Anderson Cooper for example.

Some of us may have been DF for good reasons, adultry, stealing,

drunkness and etc. Those of you who was DF for not agreeing with

the blood, shunning, education, false dates and etc should be in

the forefront. Why do I say this, because the borg can come back

and say we were justified in DF that person, because of his conduct.

Other Christian organization may think, Ok that,s why, he commited

adultry or whatever. I shouldn,t have said, DF for good reasons, no

one deserve that. But we don,t wont any reason for the cult to come back

with, any Christian organization would have done the same, some

    type of discipline.
