Most jws are not equipped to answer questions beyond what they are fed at the meetings. Many questions from people at the door have been discussed in a QFR over the years but jws hardly read the study articles let alone anything else. Some jws knowing they are out of the element say they will go, research and come back sometimes with an elder. But they never came back. Even if they were sincere, the elder would talk them out of it, dangerous apostates, either directly or were reading apostate literature.
I talked to some non-jws, started a study, and they planted they first question that made me really start thinking. How can we prove that Jesus is Michael the Archangel?
Seems simple.
*** it-1 p. 156 Archangel ***
The prefix “arch,” meaning “chief” or “principal,”implies that there is only one archangel, the chief angel; in the Scriptures, “archangel” is never found in the plural. First Thessalonians 4:16, in speaking of the preeminence of the archangel and the authority of his office, does so in reference to the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first.” It is, therefore, not without significance that the only name directly associated with the word “archangel” is Michael.—Jude 9; see MICHAEL No. 1.
*** g02 2/8 p. 17 Who Is Michael the Archangel? ***
The Bible describes Michael as the archangel, implying that he alone bears that designation. Hence, it is reasonable to conclude that Jehovah God has delegated to one, and only one, of his heavenly creatures full authority over all other angels.
While there is no statement in the Bible that categorically identifies Michael the archangel as Jesus, there is one scripture that links Jesus with the office of archangel.
