Why won't JWs have "civilized" debates with home owners?

    Bingo.

Notice that (as of this post), it's been, like, 3 hours since I challenged this guy to say that to his BOE?

    No reply from him.

nonjwspouse, curiosity lead me to this forum. I wanted to 'see how the other half lives', spiritually.

And yes, putting my faith into words helps me to understand it.

Vidiot, why would I want to say that to the BOE and 'rock the boat?' That wouldn't be very discreet.

DATA, I agree with the GB that apostate sites are dangerous, in more ways than one.

I think Jehovah tolerates me being here because I'm learning so much, but not what you might think.

LOL, but I actually do more research in our literature to respond to this forum than I do in prepping for the meetings.

Being on this forum is one of the few ways Jehovah can get me to 'crack a book'. One of the private jokes between Jehovah and I.

Being on this forum is also teaching me what happens to people when they leave the Truth. They become like OUTLAW. Profane.

I have to respectfully call you out on your hypocrisy. This is why...

A Watcher says, " punkofnice, I post for many reasons: to give lurkers a different perspective, to strengthen my own faith by expressing it in words, and to be a lamp shining in a dark place. (2 Peter 1:19)

Then A Watcher says, " Vidiot, why would I want to say that to the BOE and 'rock the boat?' That wouldn't be very discreet.

It's not all about you. If you love truth then sometimes you must rock the boat. Jesus rocked the boat. It would be very faithful to Jehovah, and also discreet to tell the truth. You can speak your mind to the Elder's in a respectful way. If you disagree with the GB, say so. The burden of proof is on them. What makes you think that Christ wants you to hide your light when it come to the Elders? You either rock the boat and shine your light, or you don't. Don't the Elders deserve a chance to think about what is really true?

Jesus did say to watch out for ourselves because many men would not want to hear the simple truth. So you don't have to martyr yourself. We should try at least. Also, it's self righteous to call people profane simply because they hate hypocrisy. How can anyone claim to be a light if you are hiding under a basket.

Your two above statements are contradictory, that is not " bull ", just a fact.

DATA, you're comparing apples to oranges. You're comparing a 'dark place' with the BOE. They're not the same, in fact they're exact opposites, and need to be dealt with in different ways.

"For everything there is an appointed time...a time to keep quiet and a time to speak." (Ecc 3:1,7)

And DATA, I DON'T disagree with the GB. When they say JW's should stay off apostate websites, they're right. I'm just stubborn.

You are a hypocrite. Stop making excuses. I will stop feeding you now.

a watcher - You see, this would be a perfect time for you to start your own thread. You say that posting here strengthens your faith. Why not tell us how, why, what have you learned and why you believe it etc.

If you wish to spread light to lurkers et al I'd think that's a way to do it.

PS. Well done on being stubborn and disobeying Jehovah's own chosen representatives and only mouthpiece on earth. Legend!
