New Understanding of this Generation

The more you try to explain untruths the more you get your knickers in a knot.

They don't even know who the anointed are as they don't keep any record of them. How do they even know that the second group are 'advancing in years'? Soon they'll be telling JWs that they are only talking about anointed members who make up the FDS.

The 'we understand' refers to the group of 8 men sitting in a room discussing the issue. If this is the type of new light they can come up with then we are going to be thouroughly entertained in the future.

Sounds like more of the overlapping generation nonsense.

Isn't it amazing that Jesus supposedly meant all of that, given that he didn't know the day or hour of his return?

Isn't it also interesting that they say the anointed in 1914 clearly discerned Jesus' presence?

What they don't say is that they discerned that he was invisibly present since 1874 when according to what they teach now, he wasn't there at all (even though they were discerning him).

I wonder how many of the GB really believe this stuff.

Maybe they will come up with overlapping parousias next...

20yr old, baptized and anointed in 1914. Lives to 80 so dies in 1974.

Overlaps with 20yr old baptized and anointed in 1974. Lives to 80 so dies in 2034.

This means that "this generation" stems from roughly 1894 to 2034 - 140 years long.

This is not a new understanding. It is a really mad way of trying to get it over for once and for all that the current generation teaching does not leave the way open for another 100+ years of the last days.

So folks it's like you get one giant leap frog before the end but not two or more !!!

This way they can keep the 1914 date yet still have a cut-off point to look forward to .

    1894 .... .........140 years.................... 2034

So the title of Rutherfords talk back in 1925 should have been....Millions ,who aren't born yet, but will come to know millions who are now living... will never die.

How do people still believe??? Most of my family and some friends that I love are still in, I wish I can say something to make them realize how seriosly ridiculous this religion really is. There is no reasoning with them. I guess the hope of never dying makes them blind and desperate to believe in this false hope.

If a man comes down today from a mountain and says "I saw a burning light and heard a voice, this is what God's will is, (fill in the blanks) Not one person would believe. Everyone would say he's crazy. Meanwhile, someone claims it was done 3500+ years ago and... they believe.

I left almost 10 years ago, never looked back. WHAT A FANTASTIC DECISION to leave this %$%^^ Bullshit!!!

Good morning folks! So our Lord Jesus Christ is just referring to the generation of "annointed Christians"? How about the great crowd or the other sheep with earlthy paradise hope? Are they not included in that "generation"? Furthermore, how about the rest of humanity living before 1914 or who were born in 1914?

Honestly, I cannot seem to connect that this is Prov. 4:18 in the works where the path of the righteous one is getting brighter and brighter. It feels it is like the reverse - dimmer and dimmer.

    Whatcha think?

splash, how do you pick 20 years as the overlapping period?

when did the old folks get the anointing? at baptism, before baptism like Cornelius.

what is the recommended wt baptism age today 9 years? the average baptism age 20?

The time of religious fervor, anointing? calculation before this new light aimed higher, in the 2070s, 80s.

    a sure pick is 2075

100st anniversary of the 6000 year creation of EVE,

    Eve's 6100 birthday anniversary

had she been allowed to eat of the tree of life. as it is, she died a natural death as planned.

    A bunch of friggin idiots.

I love the snide, cocky snickers you hear when someone makes a comment at the hall about the world and how they don't know what they are talking about.

Yet they have the power to ruin my family to a degree simply becuz I may not choose to believe every stupid azz made up b.s thing that these old farts sitting in a room in New York make up.

Im getting really fed up with all this crap and the friggin idiots who buy into it like mindless fools.

    Vent over.

    Thank You.
