Does the Spirit (who is Christ) speak, and how?

Tammy, I'm sorry if I misrepresented your view about Jesus being the holy spirit, I must have got a little confused. It happens a lot

You didn't misrepresent that. I just didn't remember saying that here. But it stands to reason that if you read me saying (a lot, lol) that Christ is the Spirit, that this spirit means the Holy Spirit... as Christ is the Holy One of Israel, as the Spirit, He would also be the Holy Spirit. Perhaps that is what you heard when you read "Christ is the Spirit"... and if so, you heard it not from me, but from the Spirit. So... great!!

But the Lord is the Spirit is what Paul also said.

    Peace to you!

if christ is alive, where is he? I'd like to shake his hand and see if he really looks like Matthew McConnaughy

    LOl... He doesn't.

"He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him." Isaiah 53:2

His 'beauty and majesty' is on the inside.

    Peace to you!

    Kate said-

If he came just to me, everyone would say I have schizophrenia, and I had a hullucination. I would likely accept this. I would then seek medical help, and take medication. It is logical and loving for him to reveal himself to everyone from heaven, if he truly is interested in human affairs.

You likely didn't watch the TED Talk I posted on page one with Eleanor, a psychiatry student who made the mistake of "burying her own grave" (her words) by admitting to hearing voices to medical professionals. Fortunately, the thinking on hearing voices is slowly changing in society, which is exactly the point of the hearing voices network: their goal is to change the way doctors and the general public reacts to the phenomena of voice hearers.

So what is the message you are commissioned to tell us?

Jesus is alive? He talks to you? He wants you to tell us all......what? That he doesn't like being called "Jesus"?

    I don't get it.

Did you read the OP? I wasn't commissioned to tell anyone a message. Someone asked me about hearing the Spirit... and since that is an entirely different topic from the one we were on, I started a new thread.

    Peace,

Actually, the references to prove that the Apostles and others also heard voices just make my point.
The scriptures are written by people who hear voices... so I rest my case. ;)

You are OK Kate........I've always felt the way you do.

Gradually I'm learning not to worry about it as it makes no difference in the end.

Let Tammy have her whispering Jesus if it comforts her, I just resent having to read about it as I feel he gives her nothing worthwhile repeating while at the same time giving her airs of superiority over us non chosen ones.

So what about all the times that you do just that? You have passed on messages from your lord to me a few times just recently.

What about this message from the lord you passed on...?

Actually it turned out the message came from your guru a few hours earlier...

Are you a spirit medium or a charlatan?

    Compare...

"He has been asking me, "Is that all you have to say, child? Do you have nothing more to add? Is your purpose here only to defeat arguments against me and my Father? Where is your love for those you argue with who may also be seeking Truth?" - Tammy

    with...

"He that is faithful in what is LEAST... is faithful... in MUCH. And what is he asking those who hear to DO... except to SAY... "Come!"?... NOT just to those you are intimate with... or those you feel "comfortable" speaking of these things and sharing such with. But as a PUBLIC DECLARATION... and so PUBLICLY... for the preserving alive of YOUR soul... and that of your entire household!" - Shelby a few hours previously

So in conclusion after reading what everyone else has said on the topic...The apostle Paul's account of Jesus coming to him on the road to Damascus is not believeable. If anyone has that experience in our day they would be sectioned here in the UK, (I don't know what Adam is talking about, but this experience of the apostle Paul is more than hearing voices.)

Secondly, I must be a bad sheep and God doesn't want to have a relationship with me, if he did he would have got in touch by now.

Important question - Do you consider yourself a prophet just like the bible characters?

Youve made a few comments lately about how what you do is the same as what they did...

There is a more parsimonious explanation.
