I saw Spiderman, and it was great. Definitly go see it if you have the time this week. The Star Wars series will be redeemed by this movie, I think. All of the George Lucas qurikiness will be sated a bit for this one. Give it a try....

I have come on here to give my views on an evolving situation. The media have picked up this story. I have every right to comment on it.

Its not my fault that my views are unpopular. I don't have time to address every single argument. I will restrict my defense to my major statements.

If someone swears at me and calls me a molester, I don't feel I ever have to address their questions unless they apologize for their debased behavior.

After the extermination of the Jedi ranks, lightsabers became rare relics. The knowledge of their construction disappeared with their masters. Luke Skywalker, the last of the Jedi, built his own lightsaber as the culmination of his training.

Although use of the lightsaber is strictly reserved to the Jedi -- the only ones capable of handling the difficult weapon -- it is also used by their sworn enemies, the Sith.

Dear physch,

I for one do not think you are a molester. But, I think you are putting your faith in the word of the WTBTS because THEY SAY they represent God. What makes you think this is the case? Do they have any more proof than any other religion? I think not.

I have seen the WTBTS both help and ruin. Remember, religion, or structure of any kind, can help all sorts of deviants to find a better place than where they are at. But there are many religions with wonderous testimonials.

Now, consider Bill Bowen. He has nothing to gain. Think his business is going up? Think national exposure is going to help him? Nope. Think doing something as unpopular as he is doing is going to benefit him in any way?

Nope.

Normally, for a crime, even a 'spiritual crime towards Jehovah'(as many witnesses would put it), there is a motive. What motive? Just hate towards WTBTS? Perhaps their blase attitudes towards some important issues that affect people's lives and happiness?

In the end, Bill is fighting for people, and even if you think his methods are not as good as others, so be it. At least he is doing something. There is a problem, and the number could be high, or could be much lower than 23,000. But, what does the exact number matter. Even one is too much, and if the WTBTS really wants to help their flock, they will try to change this issue, shunning, and the blood issue. That's it. They would still be a rigid fundy religion, but the things that make it a horror for families would be cured. It might even be livable for people who are stuck in it because of family history.

Psych, take it easy. Read the board for more than a month, and tell me how good the WTBTS is afterwards. In a religion, it's the people who should matter, not the hierarchy and the religion's rhetoric.
