But I believe Jehovah's Witnesses are the most exemplary group of Christ Followers on the face of the earth. Jesus didn't say By this all will know that you are my disciples - BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE TRUTH, but that they have love among themselves.

    JW's demonstrate that love.

Either you live in a JW bubble or have some kind of unusual congregation or you just don't want to see the obvious, by these statements you show yourself ignorant of a larger picture and the reality of the situation that exists.

Lack of love among JWs is the single biggest complaint among them. Your example of the "instant family" is true, but at the same time it is what happens on a day to day basis that makes that wear thin and not the rare times your car breaks down far from home when you call up the local JW congregation.

Until you can open your eyes and apply the same criticism to JWs and their arguments that you apply to those here, I don't think you will find anyone here to take your posts seriously. Sure you can express your viewpoint, but if you are not willing to measure the WT with the same standards with which you measure us here, your posts will not be respected and be viewed as a display of hypocritical ignorance. Maybe in time you will see things differently.

So, who's pre-ordered 'Lord of the Rings' yet?

Dung, not me....I can get it off of Kazaa:):):), although I don't want it. I think that Episode 2 will visually blow Fellowship out of the water, but I think that the Two Towers will be awesome for some reason...they've made some pretty cool changes and kept some good things that I like, I think the series will turn around with Two Towers.

In reply to your comment about the Jehovah's Witnesses being the most exemplory group of Christ followers that there are on the face on the earth I simply cannot agree with you there.

many posters on this board have done [stress]extensive[/stress] research on the jehovah's Witnesses and their teachings only to come to the conclusion that they possess all the qualifications of a cult.

This is not men as an insult but is a fact.

We have found out that the Watchtower leaders have been continuly lying to its members and to the rest of the world for a very long time.

These accusasations are serious but never the less they can be proven. In fact they have been documented.

You stated that you can go any where in the world and have an instant family of Witnesses which is true, but only if you fall in to the cookie cutter mold of loylity and obedience that they have set out for their mambers, as one other poster put it.

People very strongly dislike the Watchtower society because they have been hurt tremendiously by them and their practices, especially that of shunning.

I classify the love that you experience as a Witness as conditional, due to the fact that it can be turned on or off like the flick of a switch all at the WT leaders command.

When someone like yourself come onto the board trying to defend the Watchtower it really strikes a nerve by people who have been hurt by it and its members.

Please dont be too harsh and just lurk for a while and you may find out just exactly why many members here hate the Watchtower so much.

    Jerome:

Do the Boy Scouts publish figures on the number of alleged molestations annually?

Since there are no figures Bowen should shut up about such figures.

Two witness principle? This is an ancient legal principle. Physical evidence - DNA, tissue samples, - etc. as presented by an "expert" may be the required second witness. Of course JW's don't have such experts in their congregations. If a parent wishes to pursue that route because they feel they have good cause then that is their choice. If a child can describe some unique feature of an alleged molester that could only be discovered in the process of molestation then that objective evidence becomes a 2nd witness. If it is simply the word of a child against the word of the alleged perpetrator I don't believe you have a case. Serial incidences with the same individual and separate victims may be interpreted as "collusion". If the law doesn't require notification of police for such incidents I believe it should be up to the religious counselors to decide what they want to do. It is the responsibility of "law" to protect the rights of the accused as well as the accuser.

I think we need two witnesses to verify that this number is true! Isnt it great that the Watchtower has given us the "Pay attention to the flock" book! Bottom line this person supports Child Molestation!

    Goodbye!
