Bill Bowen's Use of "Fake Precision"

  Let him ramble on and deny and cloud over the truth all he wishes. Nothing he, Brown, Blumley, or any other Watchtower lackie says can recall the truth going out now. Will it bring down the Watchtower? I doubt it. They will surely survive this. They can just continue lying to their rank and file and keep on fooling them. Maybe even fool some courts. But, as they often say themselves, they cannot fool God.

  If God's Spirit is filling a Kingdom Hall, how is it that Satan can manuever the ones within that Kingdom Hall at the same time?

  Bill Bowen absolutely cannot establish an accurate picture of how much child molestation is going on among Jehovah's Witnesses.

  He has problems with Watchtower molestation policy. So does an organization have to listen to someone who doesn't like their policy? NO.

  If Bill Bowen has solid evidence that Jehovah's Witnesses are breaking the law then he should follow his own advice and turn this evidence over to law enforcement officials.

  I also have a problem with the numbers Bill throws around. At the same time, i am well aware of the attitude of many that make up what we call "the Society" and the mistakes of elders that have the same attitude. It is not beyond reason to believe elders have made severe mistakes in their handling of serious matters involving judicial cases and child abuse.

  The Society has and continues to punish those whom elders have made these "mistakes" against with no attempt to correct matters in an honest and fair way.

  Many of us understand the technical reason why Bill is being disfellowshipped, but even if he had stuck to the honest facts and had been as reasonable and fair as a human can be the Society would have found a way to silence him somehow. The honest truth is that one can discuss anything they wish to in this organization, but for some topics of a critical nature one usually pays a price.

  You put a measure of truth in your posts and manifest a measure of critical thinking but I don't percieve you to be balanced in your end conclusions in that you don't seem to manifest the same criticism toward the WT as you do toward Bill and others. Can you clarify your position regarding the Watchtower and whether you believe them to be God's exclusive channel for dispensing truth to mankind?

  This is a clever statement. The fact is, that on the congregational level, there is enough corruption to take care of any largesse that the WTBTS has to offer to the accusers.

  The elder body will do what they will, and follow a gameplan that the WTBTS offers. What about Barb Pandelo? Hers is a REAL STORY with real people involved. Do you deny her experience? I'm sure you don't. Then what could justify her disfellowshipping? Attitude only?

  I'd be damned if I wouldn't have an attitude if my son or daughter was molested and somebody got away with it, and I was an outcast for being a good mother/father. Frankly, the molester would be lucky if I didn't kill them for hurting my child.

  Forget Bill. Forget Silentlambs. They are not the issue.

  when you want to avoid the real issue you create an issue within the real issue, to avoid discussion of what the root of the problem is, which is the policy and heirarchy of the WTBTS, and the way they deal with molestation. It's corrupt from the top on down.

  I don't think any organization of humans have the "truth". But I believe Jehovah's Witnesses are the most exemplary group of Christ Followers on the face of the earth. Jesus didn't say By this all will know that you are my disciples - BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE TRUTH, but that they have love among themselves.

  JW's demonstrate that love. You can blindfold me and drop me out of an airplane anywhere in the world where there are a significant number of JW's and I will have instant family.

  You have been arguing that Bill dosent have hard evidence to support some of his claims, mainly the numbers.

  I think that you very well do there. As far as I know all he said is that he has "a reliable inside source."

  Given the fact that Watchtower hasent been in the habit of revealing any statics which reflect nevatively on the organisation as a whole ( they call this not bringing reproach apon Jehovahs name ] it is hard to imagine that these numbers could ever be officially verified. The WBTS simply isnt in the habit of fully cooperating with civil authorites saying that they consider them to be under the infeluence of satan.

  But what other posters have been saying all is that

  There is a policy in place which offers sacuntariy for pediophiles within the organisation.

  Mainly the application of the two witness rule to this situation and the reluctance to report verified cases to the proper authorites.

  I would like to have your veiws on this.

  How untrue! Child molestation is much more serious than you percieve and your views are distracted by your support of this organization.

  Anyone who has been molested can tell you that this is a good thing as ashitaka said "one is to many"!

  Let me tell you that my sister was abused by an elder and all he had to do was step down! What kind of punishment is that for an abuser? They say that the average amount of victims abused by a molester is 12, so how many people were abused before my sister or after because this matter was not brought to the authorities!!!

  I urge you to re-think your coments before you damage your credability as a human to exert any kind of love!
