  In case it isn't clear by now, Islam is a disease and the people who follow it are clearly mentally unbalanced.-Simon

  Islam is a high control religion, and people who are trapped in it need some help from survivors that have broken free. Sadly it is easier to leave Islam if you are a man. I think there are many Muslim women who are mentally sound and planning way to escape mentally or physically. I think those that are trapped have broken free mentally. I would not say all Muslims are mentally unbalanced.

  Within all regligious groups and cults there lies the ones who are genuine, kind and loving. Within all relgious groups and cults are mean spirited ladder climbers who use their beliefs to hurt and control others.

  Alpha, this 'kind of thinking' would have stopped the Iraq war. Anyway, you would do well to stop speaking of 'Islam' as some kind of monolithic entity, and try to see muslims as individual people to be treated with dignity and respect, and with whom we can build bridges and friendships. Think of what we missed out on as JWs when we embraced fear and turned it into a hatred of worldly people and apostates. Or when nonJWs treated us with fear and hatred? It just drove us deeper into the bubble, right?

  The airport security theatre I have to put up with in America is irritating and unnecessary.

  The fact that so many LABELS are being used shows exactly what group is in fear more than any other. I wonder why this one particular group is always so scared of other people. I think that is the question. As a matter of fact most women have a far more balanced view of the statements made in the opening post.

  I also wonder if the people with these hateful words would say these things to the face of a Muslim on the street in a one on one situation. I wonder if they would go to work and say this to thier co-workers or management or even HR?

  While we are free to debate whether the phrase 'metropolitan, metrosexual liberal elite' constitutes hate speech or not ISIS militants are beheading maronite and yazidi civilians!

  Like the fact that its this same wide sweeping labels like 'metropolitan, metrosexual liberal elite' that are easily excepted by guys like you that make others think that all Muslims should be jailed or deported because of their religious beliefs. Yeah good job there.

  Good, then maybe knowing that people in general aren't buying this "religion of peace" BS anymore, will force them to stop pretending that the tenets of their religion are a ok, and start actually doing something about it, like reforming it.

  I have no problem with the individual Muslims, its the deeply flawed religion that I have a problem with, which has turned somebody from a Jesus and football loving person, into a monster that cuts his co-workers heads off in a matter of only 6 months as we've seen with Alton Nolan.

  The fact is they are coming here in droves and they are not going to change, but they want to force us to change to accomodate their beliefs, which let's face it, in its current form, is just irreconcilable with western ideals of freedom.

  P.S.

  You folks that keep defending Islam, really do belong back in Watchtower land. The whole point of this forum is to discuss JW things in an open way, and to ridicule the hell out of stupid WT policies, and wake people up to the facts. Why are you unable to do the same with Islam (a religion)? Becuse you're worried it might offend somebody?

  Western people in general do that with Muslims, because Western people don't have a hate ideology against Muslims the way Muslims have against Western people. Still doesn't mean that we cannot think Islam is a religious disease. Islam has brought this view on themselves. I turned down a job in Saudi Arabia back in January, because in the end....I couldn't trust that at some point my life could be in danger living in a Muslim country, because I am a white American.

  It would be a shame to see the US eventually go the way of France, and have to look at this travisty of human rights every day walking down the sidewalk because we choose to appease a barbaric religion that is incompatible with freedom, right in the land of freedom.
