wallsofjericho, they did not only fire CTR but also Peter, Paul, and definitely Mary, so, it is a doctrinal free [from the NT] for all.

what else could there be? what else is left that anyone cares about? Perhaps we all have to imitate the recent WT picture and start hoarding hundreds of lbs of grain, water and canned soup in our basements

We have long predicted the "no longer a JW" applying to inactive witnisses, could this be the official launch of shunning/DF'ing inactive JW's? Making the stage announcement after 1 year of inactivity?

    hmmmmmmmmm.......

I doubt it would be anything doctrinal; more likely a procedural change, and perhaps even more likely another way to cajole more money.

But if we're going to speculate on possible doctrinal changes, how about blood? Maybe implement their planned 2001 change to allow autologous transfusions? Or remove transfusions from the DF list, but still make it so you "lose privileges" if you take one?

Either of those would shake upa lot of JWs pretty badly.

    Another video for the ministry.

Update on the building work with some digs to "keep supporting".

I think thats about it if I was a betting man.......and I am!

Whatever it is, it won't stop my fade. Also, it would be great if they did something so stupid that my wife began to awaken because of it. I'm not holding my breath.

I can't see them making a change on blood as a big announcement associated with a zone visit...any change on blood will be a QFR or question box in the KM after they've gone a while without mentioning it. If they draw attention to it, it just makes it that much easier for those on the fringes to sow seeds of doubt by saying things like "I'm glad I never studied with someone to the point of baptism, if I had and they died for want of a blood transfusion I'd be bloodguilty"

How about making the announcement that a publisher who is innactive more than one year has "disasscociated himself" and is to be treated like he's DFed. More families tested and torn apart.

yes 3rdgen, that was my speculation also

what procedural change would "shake people's faith"?

my speculation on announcing "no loner JW" for inactive could qualify for this

maybe...... uhm........ mandatory use of tablets/smart phones in service and/or meetings?

even the stopping of printing of certain material would be viewed by die hards as earth shaking.

    Year books only as PDF?

Oh I know! all JW's ordered to burn all their old literature! Bound volumes, magazines, eveything older than 2000.

Dubs will be required to report their family worship activity (not hours but that they actually do it) anyone not doing this loses privileges

of course, merging of WT and Awake and renaming JW.org magazine

oh so many money saving tactics to frame as holy spirit inspired!!! so curious...........

They started the same hype over the announcement that would "shock" old timers in the lead up to the AGM. it was just a damp fizzle. I'm never going to get pulled into this hype factory again. it will be another non-event, like the annual "Special Talk" - it is never special.

The Governing Body are fleeing the USA and it's pesky court system?

Next stop? An off-shore "Love Boat" ? Bahamas?....only a quick sail to the new Florida "Learning Center" and a great place to launder hedge fund $$$ ?
