Gossip. Share coupons. Spy. Picnics. Fly kites. Baseball. Surf apostate sites on the net. Crib, checkers, yahtzee, chess. Shoot hoops. Vollyball. Walking.
I'll think of some more.

BBQ's.
My mum used to give them. Big barbeques all summer long for the entire congregation.
And: Rent a movie and watch it with a group of sisters.

for a time a couple MS who were brothers organized volleyball games after
the meetings on sunday. it actually was fun...the first time. the idea was
to do something that all the kids and adults could do together. in no time,
the only people who should up were the brothers who were already into playing
basketball at the same park and the under 18 crowd who had nothing else to
do. the captains were usually the brothers in their 20s and in a matter of
weeks, their competitive natures came out. it got to the point were certain
ones didn't want to play at all and it became like a freaking circus maximus.
if I remember correctly, the elders had to step in and comment on the
"too worldly and competitive nature". as a cong activity, it died a quick
death after that.

*** w54 8/15 508 Endurance Through Hope *** 21 Hobbies are so varied today that they range from the sedate stamp-collecting to the vigorous athletic exercising. By way of illustration we shall take the common hobby called photography. A brother finds that this hobby furnishes him much pleasure. His camera records many delightful theocratic assemblies and personal experiences. His own interests tell him he needs to keep up with all aspects of this hobby. He buys numerous magazines and reads them. Soon he starts to read books on this hobby, spending more and more time on a lawful pursuit. Meetings may be missed to keep up with the latest camera magazine. He may even feel it necessary to associate with those outside the truth to learn more about his hobby. This brothers lawful interest has grown to a point where it threatens to undermine his hope. If his own interest is not checked and put in its theocratic place, shipwreck is ahead.

Sorry Mimilly but in Dubland chess is frowned upon, as it is based on military strategy.
I think Ludo is OK though, and Snakes & Ladders...
