JWs will claim that it is possible to know Christ and have a personal relationship with him. They may have trouble demonstrating how it works, because they prioritize Jehovah and place Jesus in a secondary position. In a sense, JWs see Jesus as Jehovah's secretary; they want a personal relationship with Jehovah, and they go through Jesus in order to do this (example: their prayers end with "in Jesus's name, amen.").
JWs will claim that it is possible to know Christ and have a personal relationship with him.
We all know that JW's claim a lot of contradictory things. For instance, JW's almost universally claim Jesus is their Mediator (for prayers). But the WT's position and official church doctrine is that Jesus is Mediator ONLY for 144K Christian believers over the past 2000 years.
Of course their is no biblical definition of a Mediator being the bearer of prayers like the rank and file JW's believe. Scripture says that Jessu is the "Mediator of the New Covenant" the one "for the forgiveness of sins" in Mt. 26: 27-28.
Similarly, Of course JW's are going to claim they have a personaly relationship with Jesus. How can you claim to be a "Christian" religion and not claim that?
But can a person have a personal relationship with someone else if they never spoke to them even once?
I don't think so. JW's would never talk directly to Jesus in prayer. So, no; they have no relationship with Jesus at all.
JW have as much of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as they do with the angel Gabriel.
Imagine not even being able to say "Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins".
William Guy Carr talks in his book about how Gnostics inside Freemasonry believe that the Angel Michael came to Earth as Jesus Christ to defeat Satan as how he had done in Heaven but he failed. The fact that the High Priests of the Luciferian Creed on this earth introduced the worship of Satan in the lower degrees of both Grand Orient Lodges and the councils of the Palladian Rite and then initiated selected individuals to the FULL SECRET that Lucifer is God the equal of Adonay, has puzzled many historians and research workers. The Holy Scriptures mention Lucifer only a few times — Isa. 14; Luke 10:18; Rev. 9:1-11. The Luciferian Doctrine however states definitely that Lucifer led the Heavenly revolt; that Satan is the oldest son of God (Adonay) and the brother of St. Michael who defeated the Luciferian conspiracy in Heaven. The Luciferian teachings also claim that St. Michael came on earth in the person of Jesus Christ to try to repeat what he had done in Heaven ... and failed. Because Lucifer, Satan, the Devil — call him what you may — is the father of lies, it would appear that those spiritual forces of darkness deceive as many as possible so-called intellectuals into doing their will here as they did in heaven.

If we connect the dots, it is clear where Russell and the Adventists get their teaching from.
Why is this question even asked???
An angel is a messenger. Both the Hebrew and Greek words that are translated as angel means "messenger, representative".
Isn't Jesus the primary messenger or representative of Jehovah?
Isn't that why he said The Father and I are one because he represents his Father Jehovah?
It's that simple. Angels are messengers.
Why is Jesus being Michael the archangel even a subject that comes up?
It's one of those givens.
Gen 3:15 says the seed will crush the serpent which is the devil. The seed is Jesus.
Jesus said in John 14:2 "for I am going my way to prepare a place for you"
His going to prepare a place was his casting out Satan and his demons.
Jesus did the things stated in Rev 12:7-9 Battled with the dragon/devil and cast him out.
Four names are used for the devil in there, dragon, original serpent, devil and Satan.
Did it need to explain that this Michael was Jesus?
If Michael is not Jesus, why is someone else doing what Jesus said he would do, (prepare a place for his apostles) and battle and crush the devil?
"JW have as much of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as they do with the angel Gabriel.

Why would we want a personal relationship with Jesus? He is our high priest. Did the Israelites have a personal relationship with the high priests? No? They just brought the sacrifices to him so he could do his job.
Why would we thank him for dying for our sins? as that is not why he died.
Rattigan,
JWs have as much of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as they do with the angel Gabriel.Imagine not even being able to say "Thank you Jesus for dying for my sins.
"Why would we want a personal relationship with Jesus?"
Because Jesus invites us into a saving personal relationship. Knowing Jesus and the Father personally is essential to eternal life. Jn.17:3 It is not taking in accurate information (gnosis) about Father and Son, it is knowing (ginosko). "Come unto me!" Jesus said, not "Come to a victorious organization for salvation."
"Why would we thank him for dying for our sins? as that is not why he died."
I am more and more convinced that JWs do not believe the Bible.
Acts 2: 38-39 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. "For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself."
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Acts 13:38-39 38 Therefore let it be known to you, men and brothers, that through this one forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39. And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Hebrews 10:10 By the which we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.
I John 2:2 And he (Christ) is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Why did the Jews bring sacrifices to the high priest? What was the point of killing all those animals if not for forgiveness of sins?
Jesus was the sacrifice to end all sacrifices, and is a High Priest, but only OUR High Priest if we believe in Him.

I love your ability to quote scripture so accurately!
