Dan, then the question is in what order? Friendships take time and this is a special kind of friendship.

This is what you do Bud, just say out straight "I want to take you out to dinner and a dance". Or what ever you want to do with her. One thing I have learned about women, there is no special thing to do, that feeling comes from when you were in school. Just ask them or tell them you want them to do this or that, if they firmly say no then say: see you around" and find a new chick cause that one is stuck on her self.

I'm going to school myself. I get acquainted with my fellow classmates, be they young OR old because I am very extroverted, so I've never had the problem that you have encountered. I've even had a young guy start hangin out with me at breaks and lunch times cuz he thought I was "cool."

Just smile back at her when she smiles at you. Let her know you are interested, too. Nothing wrong with that. When you have some free class time, go over and ask to see what she's working on, and ask her to explain it to you. You may know MORE than her, but ask her anyway. That will make her feel special, and she will like that. She'll explain it to you, then you ask her if she wants to see your project, and you take her back to your desk and show her, and ask if she has any hints she'd like to give you on how to improve it!

At lunch, ask her if she wants to go get a coke with you or something. If she says no, then you are still friends anyway. Don't act like you're trying to put the moves on her, and she will appreciate it alot, and you will save a lot of face. Just treat her as an equal friend and if she isn't interested, well no points lost, at least you still have a friend that you met!

Open a door for her...look in her eyes and smile....say "hello...how is your day going" aka make conversation....try and find common ground...and then move in for the kill or at least ask her out for coffee.

Check Yes or No. Oh boy do I remember that song. It's so pretty! I also remember your name: Wild Horses. "Wild Horses Keep Draggin Me Away" (and I'll lose more than I would have won that day) by C. Black. What a great song!

    "wild horses just stay wild.

...but your heart I could not break"

Wild horses.. Keep draggin me away!

    Blondie,

Of course I want to get to know her. Last time I made the mistake of letting things get too sexual too fast, we weren't ready, bad timing, etc. I won't make that mistake again of doing the deed with somebody that I really don't have very strong feelings for. I know some guys can just do it with anybody, not to sound pious or self-righteous but I'm just not like that.

Well, I'm going to go read for a while then off to bed. Thanks for your input everybody. If I go to class tomorrow I will see her, I'll let you know if anything happens.

Don't think about it anymore and just aproach her and talk to her as if she was your little sister. Ignore she is a hottie or that she's a babe. Have no expectations, just be yourself. That should take care of the drooling.

Ask her if she's attracted to Mr Hanky the Christmas Poo.

Hi Dan, have sweet dreams. I'm just trying to be a big sister I guess or see it from a woman's viewpoint. Just be yourself.

I know I am. Do you have his number? Maybe I can send him a "How Was Your Christmas Dump?" card this year.
