    A&F:
Your concluding quotations to me are the very ones I was thinking of applying to yourself. You can't have it both ways. If you desire not to be judged, judge not yourself

    Amazing:

... and most of all explain why we humans have been totally ignored by him.

    Have we? That's debatable.
Unless you take the line that Jesus (as God) walked this earth and cleared up a few misconceptions, I'd agree that there's hardly undeniable evidence of the divine telling us uncontroversiably of His existence and "making" us believe.
There have been numerous claims of His interaction with individuals, though (amongst which, some are claimed in the Bible and other "Holy Books").

Other than the above quote, I agree with your comments

    Hi Jim....nice post.

I also have a side point however about a comment you made.

We must live our lives the best we can and hope that someday God, if he exist as we perceive him, will fully reveal himself and his purposes for us ... and most of all explain why we humans have been totally ignored by him.

As there is no PROOF that god inspired the bible, there also is no proof that god exists period.(there also is no proof he does NOT exist)

I'm sure you also understand this, but others might not. I too am of the belief class that a good and well meaning creator, is responsible for life and our physical world, yet cannot understand why such a creator seems to have stopped his concern towards us.

It's like he built a pen, put food and water in the pen, then put animals in the pen, then drove away and didn't come back to check and repair the pen.

One hypothesis automatically leads to the other?

Oh yea? Well you can clean it up if you do! (I don't know french, ya bastard)

Since our brains are so complex...it seems obvious somebody has the "little chip" that's missing that explains what we cannot learn concerning life. I think there are little alien bastards watching the earth on a "Big Screen" and musing themselves on watching us figuring shit out.

Ah, now that sounds like a more reasonable theory

I think that screen is REALLY wide, and holographic - hehe

    Hi Little Toe,

The quote you used that you took exception with was phrased in a little different context as follows:

We must live our lives the best we can and hope that someday God, if he exist as we perceive him, will fully reveal himself and his purposes for us ... and most of all explain why we humans have been totally ignored by him.

My thought here was to focus more on the explaination (accountability) I feel that God, as our professed Father) owes to his children, the human race. If he could satisfactorill explain himself to us, then I could accept that we may not have been totally ignored. Also my point about Jesus Christ being inspiring to me, give me some hope that God has been involved some with the human race.

    Jim:
I know, but I just wanted to pick holes in the idea that we've been left totally without testimony

What we've got may not exactly be unambiguous, but neither is it vaccumous.
