I wouldnt lock posts, or delete posts. I would also slap any mods too quick to do either.

Well, with all respect, it's easy to sit in an ivory tower and come out with glib statements like that. It would be easy if one were running a private forum to just invite people who we liked and got on with and then delete people who disagreed and have some twisted notion that everything was rosey and was being run "better". Ultimately though, a forum like this would really just be like a parasite, feeding off a proper site instead of existing on it's own.

A public forum for a lot of people is a bit different and locking and deleting posts are a necessity unfortunately. If you really think otherwise then make your site open to all and try and speak from experience.

Now I have to give you credit that you said you would only "slap any mods too quick to do either."

You did mean the "too quick" part, didn't you. So you too feel that it is appropriate. I might even agree with you (except for the slapping part, Sickened ) but we certainly agree it is proper at times.

If you read and understood that this discussion board is dealing with people in transition, many being very right-minded and sensitive, I wonder if your being "king" would only result in 'backing off' a little like Six suggested? It's a tough balance and like everything in life it swings like a pendulum.

AND maybe animal they don't get why you would let the slamming of one board go on at your own site. I doubt you could deny that it has gone back and forth and for you to suddenly question the motives here, while allowing for a long time the bitching and piss n'moan faction to complain on your own board about JWD seems old to me. IMO it is one of the violations of the no BS rule. Take the complaint to the source, or why should I LLIGAF? duh...

You seem to be really angry much of the time. You completely misread Animal's post, IMHO. What makes any site "proper" or "improper" other than our own subjective opinions??

These words come across as nasty and resentful. I'm sure you did not mean them to be, did you?
