    Tammy,
I remember their trailer! It was so girlie! I remember thinking Mary Jo was so lucky to have a man put up with such a girlie home. But then they were forced to sell it and then move to Hawaii, to live in peoples homes each week.

Now they are in a nice location down here in SoCal. Great apartment complex and she grows her own wheat grass. There are several witnesses in the complex and the managers are witnesses, too.

least favorite John and Grace Casino ---- list after list after USELESS list. Who could remember the 22 things to get a study? Or the 10 things that we should do on a study?? His wife thought she was the Co-circuit overseer. And they were ones who loved to stay with the more well-to-do families even though our circuit paid for a private apartment for them. To top it off, she wore really dumb hats!

Never met the Casinos, but I had heard horror stories. When I became a JW in 1969, John Casino had left the circuit I was in (Massachusetts #3) a short time before, and had wreaked havoc while he was there. Removed more Congregation Servants than he left standing (this was in the only-one-overseer days before the elder arrangement). Later, in another congregation, we had John Crispin, who was supposedly Casino's protege, but was a really nice, sincere guy (imho).

Is Casino still in the Circuit work? He must be really old if he was terrorizing congregations back in the mid-1960's and is still going today.

Actually, not very old, just in the circuit work a long time. John and Grace never had kids so they have been in the circuit work for a while. He is maybe 55?? She looks older, but not more than 60 I wouldn't think.

Hmmmm...but even if he's 60 now and just looks younger, that would have made him only 25 or 26 back in 1967-8 when he was serving Mass. #3. That's pretty young for a CO. You sure he's not older than that, but well-preserved?

Ok, so if he is 60 now, that would have made him 27 entering the circuit work, so maybe is a little older than that, but I assure you........ he is not anywhere near 70.

Maybe they are 2 John Casinos.......but I doubt it. John and Grace served the Brooklyn congregations before coming out to California. California (and I guess Florida) are considered senior circuits, so they have to have spent a lot of years in the circuit work to get here. We had the one new CO, Bro Boone, and he was transferred to someplace as hot as Hades in Texas within a short while..... a senior CO wanted our circuit, but then he died before he could take over!

I remember John Crispin. We had him in the 80's in Massachusetts.I didn't like him because he said my husband and I shouldn't date(of course that was before he was my husband : ) ).I remember when I was a kid we had a CO Brother Amy.I liked him because just when you were about to fall asleep during a talk,he would raise his voice, almost to a shout, and BOOM! you'd wake up.I really disliked a CO named Scott Leichlitner(sp.wrong).He was very young and we were one of his first circuits and he was a big screw-up.My mom was going thru marital problems at the time and he gave her a lot of wrong info, which basically screwed my whole family. He got married and now he's an elder in the next congregation over from mine.

Those are the ones that stick out in my mind.Anyone else from the NewEngland area who remembers these guys?
