    HS,

To funny. Now that would mean Sixo was shepherding?, serving?, paying attention to the flock?, willingly sacrificing his time?, displaying his brotherly affections?, ON THREE SISTERS IN ONE CONGREGATION!!!

I knew the guy considers himself studly, but that contemplation boarders on insane. Can you imagine the 'chatter' going on in that 89 plymouth four door on Saturday morning donut breaks.

Don't you sister's have anything else to talk about?...SIXO THIS SIXO THAT..........

    Wtg six.....never would have known!

Favorite CO: Floyd Kite - terrific public speaker. Incredible love for the ministry and gift to make people actually get excited about going in service. Turned me into a regular pioneer at age 15! I'd still go here him give a talk.

Least Favorite CO: Samuel Waschalk - should have stayed on a farm in the south. A truly despicable man who hates women, has a foul mouth and a small brain. Had the gift of being able to empower every dysfunctional, judgmental, "meat-head" elder and inspire them to attain new levels of harshness.

    Great thread.

    Lee,

I liked Floyd as well. I worked with him at many a convention, he seemed very sincere.

Unfortuneatly the majority of CO's and DO's get so used to people hanging on every word they utter, that even a formerly humble man, can have his head turned around. Few if any that I knew, were able to keep their humanity, especially in dealing with congregational matters.

They start acting like my brother-in-law, and start offering to give hair cuts to prospective speakers! He is truly the epitome of a self righteous prick, if there ever was one.........my sister is not far behind.

    Im with you Lee.

Sam Waschalk was the most ignorant Arkansas pharisee that ever traveled to a congregation.

However, his wife Pat wasnt so bad.

Dino: Pat Waschalk must have been a very, very bad girl in a previous life, don't you think! Even if she shot that old fool and ran off w/another man she'd still derserve mercy ;-)

    lol Lee! So true.

Sam has one lesbian sister and another that is just plain wacko. And they were always so proud of him!

I think they need to retire all those old Knorr-era COs like Sam.

A couple of peeps mentioned Bro. Silva. I have fond memories of him. Great speaker who just arrested your attention. He served in Michigan for awhile and shortly thereafter seemed to drop out of sight. I hear he's doing well, I believe in Florida. He seemed to be a very open-minded. I wouldn't be surprised if he ever posted to this site under some type of guise.

Speaking of scandals, Lenor Brown was mos-def caught up in one. After serving in Michigan, I believe he went south (to Georgia) and got caught up in a little love triangle. I liked him, though. He was great speaker and he even played some basketball with some of the young ones...which I thought was cool. I hear he's in Georgia now, reinstated and selling real-estate.

I've already mentioned this before, but there's a Bro. Antrim Smith who is currently terrorizing a circuit in Cleveland, Ohio. BIGGEST A-HOLE I'VE SEEN IN THE TRAVELING WORK. Not a drop of humanity or loving kindness in this man's body. STRICTLY IN THIS THING FOR THE POWER AND PRESTIGE. CARES ONLY ABOUT HIS POSITION AND HAS GONE ON RECORD AS SAYING THAT IS THE "MOST IMPORTANT THING HE GUARDS OUTSIDE OF HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH JAH (his position)." Threatens brothers with removal if they don't side with his views no matter how off-base they are. When he left Philadelphia & Michigan circuits, there was a collective sigh of relief by Elders, MS, pioneers, publishers, children, infants, pets, EVERYBODY. He cozys up to the DO who grades him on his "performance" but treats everybody else like indentured servants. TOTAL JACKASS!!!

Someone early on in this thread made mention of the Pulcifers. They weren't in the CO/DO work, but I found them to be well-grounded down-to-earth people. They certainly brought a human-element to Bethel living if you had the opportunity to rub shoulders with them.
