Bro Moske: loved his illustrations ----- the "elastic ruler": where you could stretch the ruler to fit your own measurements

Bro Sinutko: powerful speaker, loved him at Dodger. He's out of the circuit work,I believe he now serves as an elder in a congregation north of Pasadena. Wonderful singer.

Angelo Manera --- cute, so cute and the first time I heard the phrase DITTO: Direct Interest To The Organization. He loved golf.

Bro Arlen Meier ---- wonderful researcher. He loved the "Life Purpose" book and the "Choosing" book. He liked to research individual words and the original greek or hebrew meanings. Vine's expository or Wm H. Barclay quotes were his faves. Was also my instructor for Pioneer School.

Bro. St. Clair ----- very down to earth and had great stories to tell during Pioneer School. He talked about the illustration about birds getting their daily need....that birds usually don't die of starvation, no skinny birds. Neither do pioneers (here in the States) die of starvation or being homeless, said you didn't have people going around saying, "Poor dead pioneer, died of starv--aaaaa----tion."

Bro. Reusch ---- he'd always ask a question when he got of the car to do a door at service. He might ask what the difference was between New Jerusalem and Jerusalem Above.

Bro. Malaspina ---- the first CA I went to was the last time he gave a public talk. He just stopped using the outline and started pleading with the audience to stay in the truth, follow Jehovah and everyone was crying. Everyone knew he was dying and what they were hearing was from his heart.

Bro. Kin Shin ----- good speaker, great motivator and lovely, talkative wife. They served us up north in California, then they went to Hawaii (yes I heard of their complaints) and ran into them in So Cal at the International Convention. They were happy to be back. Mary Jo is fluent in Chinese now. I think he speaks both Mandarin and Cantonese now. (Cantonese is what most speak in San Fran, but Mandarin is more common everywhere else)

Bro. Richard Moreland ---- very warmhearted, loved his talks and the natural way he spoke. Made you think of Jesus and the apostles as real people.

Bro. Boone ---- was young and energetic and got transferred to Texas and then I heard he got DF'd.

least favorite John and Grace Casino ---- list after list after USELESS list. Who could remember the 22 things to get a study? Or the 10 things that we should do on a study?? His wife thought she was the Co-circuit overseer. And they were ones who loved to stay with the more well-to-do families even though our circuit paid for a private apartment for them. To top it off, she wore really dumb hats!

I remember Brother and Sister Suen from Oregon back in the 70's. Very good sense of humor. It was pronounced Chin. Could this be the same couple? Someone asked him how he got "Chin" out of S U E N and he answer "How do you get 'enough' out of E N O U G H?" Lots of jokes about being on a slow boat to China, you all look alike to me, etc. His wife was a pretty blonde with a good heart. They had a white Persian cat in their travel trailer that all of us kids would stare at through the window in awe.

    Danny,

I ran into the Shin's here in Southern California. He is down here now. He was at the International Convention in Long Beach a few years ago. Maybe it was 4 years ago? He was back and served in San Diego, then transferred up here to serve in the Pasadena area. Lives in Pasadena in an apartment complex.

Tammy (Swan), it is Suen, pronounced Shin. They were good friends of ours...............before.

We spent a lot of time with them in Hawaii one year. I think I posted about that earlier in this thread, a year ago. I have a photo of them, we took at our place in Hawaii (the beach house where we stay, not own)

Simplesally, you know so many of the same ones we know. Arlen Meier, was awesome. Truly an intellect. Interesting that the two books you mentioned were written by someone who is no longer a JW. Hmmmm. Does anyone know where he and Shirley are now?

These 2 stand out in my head:

Steve Jarrett- late '80's south Mississippi- always wore god-awful green suits and scary looking.

Frank (I think) Barr- Early '90's south Mississippi- Total, total dickhead.
