::Growin up, my favorite was a CO named James Pellechia. He was very good with the youths ... Now a spin doctor in public relations department.

How do I put this delicately? James Pellechia has been "reassigned" from PR with the reorganization of what is now the Public Information Office. The old smoothie is assigned to Writing. "Canned" is a more accurate description. As with many, what he spouted publicly may not jibe with his personal feelings.

Simcox, Brandt, Collier. Wow. Good Lord, Joe Scaglione was food service overseer at the Yankee Stadium conventions in the 60's. Lester Dugan? Nick Kovalak? Yikes, we do have some old-timers on the board.

Pork Chop: You mentioned Jerry Griffiths being a DO. I can't verify what I said before. He was a great guy, but we had heard, when we were still active that he and Lana divorced and he was disfellowshipped. But, it was probably a rumor. You know how rumors go?

TMS: You talked about several that I know too.
<<Lester M. Dugan: favorite expression during assemblies describing TMS students was "they sweated literally drops of blood." Wife liked checking out business territories during circuit assemblies so she could make many "placements".>> I knew them well too. When I was in High School, I remember going into business territory with Sister Dugan and placing tons of literature. I learned out to do businesses from her. I think they are both long dead. I knew them in the early 60's, and they were pushing 60 then.

<<Roland Collier: stuffed shirt, bragged about a Watchtower article he supposedly wrote.>> I really liked them!! But I know what you mean about 'stuffed shirt'. Kind of stiff man. My brother was very close to him, and he was going to perform his marriage, but had to back out. Can't remember why.

<<Bro. Kovalak: decent platform speaker>> Nick Kovalak? Neat guy. He was close to my family too.

<<Maurice Hagen: left the work years ago to start family. child was down syndrome>> He lived in our area, and my father delivered their babies. The child you mention had cerebral palsy, not Down's. His wife died maybe 10 years ago, of cancer and he is remarried. Still a dub.

Is that the same Maurice Hagen in Wa State? Who is now in Redmond? I think I met him and his new wife. Adopted his wife's son.

Yes. The one we knew was in Washington State. Where are you now?

Mulan, if I told you it would set off a string of events that will make it impossible for me to take some of my family from Dubdom. Let's just say I'm on the Eastside of Wa State and I know Maurice Hagen well. His new wife is really nice.

Calico: Okay, I understand. Question: do you recognize my photo? We were quite well known in the area. North Seattle, Lynnwood, etc. Just curious. Do I know you? Are you on the Eastside of Washington, or the east side of Seattle? I had many friends in the Redmond congregation!!

Mulan, Calico where are you? I'm now in the Seattle area but most of my JW time was in Pullman.

I remember Jerry Griffiths. He was a pretty decent guy, which means he stood out.

I forget his name but I remember one Asian-American CO that told everybody one his first visit that it would take him a while to remember all our names because "all you white people look the same to me."

Hi Jeff, We are in Lynnwood/Edmonds. For about 30 years. North Seattle before that. I grew up in South Seattle. Well known family. Dad was a doctor that all the dubs came to, from all over the country. The CO you are talking about is Kin Shin. Wife Mary Jo. I remember his saying that too, about all white men look alike. We saw them in 1990 in Hawaii, where he was the CO for the whole island chain. Nice job, eh? They hated it. It was fun talking to them, (we took them out to dinner and spent an evening together). Lots of complaints about the assignment and the conditions they had to endure. But neat people....very funny.

Robert Simons was very entertaining. He was probably the best public speaker I've ever heard. He was young and of the anointed. I always thought it was kind of fishy that his wife used to cry because they wouldn't be together in "paradise". Halelujah! What do know! she was of the anointed by the next visit!

    Here in the UK
Clive Upton a real society man. All the elders were uptight for his visits. Spoke to the cong as though they were naughty children and he was the superior headmaster. Also has a VERY faddy diet. Dont know if it was medically needed or just wielding more power over us lesser mortals.
Glen Macfarlane. Lovely man. Very kind. Apparently used to play in a band. Last heard he had had a nervous breakdown and was off the circuit somewhere northern england. It figures he was very kind and genuine and I suppose tried to really help.
Maurice Reeder. Quite elderly when we came across him, of the old school but kind.
Cant remember any more at the moment
