Two wastes of space CO's (but total Society men)
First was Walden Chin. What a JW Nazi. Had him as a CO when I was climbing the ranks back in the mid to late 80's. Had this rule that if a brother didn't live within the congregation's bounderies, they couldn't be given any cong. duties.
And the winner for the worst CO is Bill Adams. Had him a couple of years ago before I left. What a two faced man! Acted one way in front of the congregation and another way at private elder meetings. Once had a "discussion" with him as to his decision not to allow us elders to appoint a young brother. His big "fault"? He listened to Pearl Jam. SO this CO brings in a list of their lyrics to the final meeting with the elders. And he proceeds to read each song, including the swear words. Was funny to hear a CO swear though! What really cracked me up was a song that was clearly making fun of evolution and how this CO said to me "See! They promote the evolutionary theory!" LOL. What a joke.

Carl Erskine: CO and asshole-from-hell. He's still around after my experiences with him over thirty years ago, so I hear. I know someone who was his DO and he's told me he used to consistently give him bad ratings, but the society likes jerks. The DO was compassionate enough to get out of the borg, but Erskine is probably still busy hurting people and ruining lives.
In otherwords, he was a great society man. He had as much compassion as a black-widow spider does for her mate after sex.

My vote would go to John Chimiklas. He was the best Circuit Overseer 'money' could buy!

Farkel, I have to tell you there is a God, and does She ever have a wry sense of humor. Examined the death certificate of Judge Rutherford today. I knew the technical cause of his death was uremia or kidney failure secondary to a malignancy, but if I ever knew it I forgot that the old fraud actually had cancer of the rectum! It metasticized to his pelvis.
The thought occurs I could write a book about the rogues gallery of COs and DOs I've known--from the polished to the bumpkins and fruitcakes. You are right about Erskine. Brrrrr!
For purposes of the board, my favorite was Carey Barber, whom I served as DO in the days when he was on the road as circuit overseer. His wife Sydney would chauffeur him around in their Volkswagen bus. Always had this silly grin.
"How are you, Carey?" "Oh, not so bad for the shape I'm in." Dearly loved his beer. Embarrassed the hell out of me going on Bible studies in the afternoons, because he invariably fell asleep--and snored. Still got to be doing that today as a member of the governing body, during Wednesday meetings.
Did you know he himself served as district overseer in the district where you are when it ran from the Mexican to the Canadian border on the West Coast? Was replaced by Lyle Reusch. Knorr treated CB like a child, thought he could could count on his vote, but Carey secretly despised Knorr while putting on a dutifully loyal front.
So many decent men and women now dead, and so very, very many just eking out an existence with no children, having outlived their families. There are some extremely disgruntled exCO-DOs out there (and more than a few active ones) who will tell intimates how they feel but who must play the game for the locals.

A few more:
Chester Rook, Pharisee to the core.
Steve Misterfeld, one of nature's gentlemen.
Christian, arrogant,ignorant and abusive.
Hey, I always liked Kovalak's hair.
Roaming feline, I know people in your area. I could just about name your congregation. The place where the elders were removed has the same name as the region, right? Very busy little town to south of there these days;)

Metatron, yes that is my cousin. His wife, Pat, is short with dark hair, and he is quite tall. VERY concerned with material things....at least he used to be.

I know Ken and Kathy for years now. I also remember Jim & Han from my days at bethel back when he was in charge of the infirmary. I guess this means you're related to Tippy & Marie Wright as well. But then again who isn't related to the Pulcifer/Woodward clan??? ;-)
So does this also mean you're in Michigan? I grew up out there...
