NOT an ex-JW here, but I attend an evangelical church. I am getting more and more allergic to labels.

Happy Dad is a happy Christian as well.

Hi. I consider myself a born again Christian, and am not affiliated with any religion. I'd love to chat also.

Hi and welcome, I don't see the need to be born again. When I left the org I felt I had to "grow up" all again not "be born all again" - sometimes I still feel like a little boy now. Why do I need to go back to the womb, I'm barely making it to adulthood at age 34?

Next to active JW's, "Born again" Christians have been the bain to these boards.

The whole JAH Christian movement as an example has done nothing but flamed, trolled and caused problems.

If you feel that you have received a calling so be it. Please keep it off these boards and keep it a personal experience. I don't care and don't wnat to hear about it.

Uzzah - who is of the 'tired of people trying to save him' class

    Uzzah,

She has as much right as anyone to post her beliefs here. You don't have to read posts by her. I thought that this place is for people of all beliefs. We left the borg because we were told what to say and what to think and now you are telling her she can't ask others if they believe the same as her. She was not trying to tell you what she believed or get you to change your beliefs, she just wanted to find others who beleive the same. Please give her a break.

Hi Nottheonlyone, nice to "meet" you!

I remember the very moment that everything finally clicked for me. That the OT pointed to Jesus, that the nwt is the only "bible" that doesnt jive, that the heart of christianity was cut and mutilated beyond recognition in the jw version..

I remember my first communion, I broke down and bawled! Unbridled Joy is the only way to describe what I felt on that Sunday Morning.

As someone else stated, my emphasis is on sprituality and not religion and rules. That to me is the reason Jesus came here, to Free us from the chains of mans rules and regulations, not to add more to the list.

Uzzah, your outburst is uncalled for. You chose to read and post. Grow up...

I don't like to label myself as anything.

From time to time I enjoy going to a non-denominational church, but I don't belong to anything, or label myself as anything in particular.

Hi Im, I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit in Nov of 1995. That's when I was born of the spirit. As an exjw, I hesitate to call and/or label myself as a "born again christian" because of all the misconceptions about that phrase. Some people use the phrase so casually that the uniqueness of the experience becomes jaded.

But concerning Jesus' words to Nicodemus in the 3nd chapter of John...yes, I can definitely say that I was born again, the Spirit gave birth/life to my spirit.

Would love to chat sometime. PB

No offense, but I really don't understand people who get out of one religion only to get into another. It's as if some people can't stand to live their lives without someone telling them what to do, or the comforting though of some mysterious power watching over them. Just my opinion. Carry on.
