it's totally rediculous. Looking at porn is not grounds for divorce, the only reason porn is so sneered at is that they want to foster a atmosphere of ultra conservatism so that they can profess to be super clean. It's self righteousness in the extreme.

She did remarry again and goes to the KH, <---my mom did not elaborate so i'm not sure about her status or her new spouse. She never worked a day in her life, and her only expirience was being a wife, mother and pioneer. So she would have needed someone to take care of her. I will call & ask my mom about her new marriage.

Be sure and ask if she was married in a Kingdom Hall. Even if she wasn't, .....by dub standards.....she too should have been disfellowshipped for adultry when she remarried with no scriptural grounds to do so.

This 'holier than thou' elder from my congregation went through the sham of giving his beloved pioneer daughter a very lavish kingdom hall wedding with all the trimmings.
Well, it turns out that the elder, along with a few others from the congregation were covering up the fact that the daughter was fornicating left and right and was already pregnant at the wedding.
When the whole false scheme was found out, the 'holier than thou' elder along with a few others were deleted from their privileges. Nobody was disfellowshipped, though. Good connections within the WTBTS, I guess.
There's another married elder in my congregation, good speaker, very charismatic, that has the warmies for a beautiful married sister. She has the warmies for him too and it's so obvious to the congregation that those two understand each other a bit too much to be just platonic spiritual brother/sister. Soon there'll be an announcement about their getting kicked out, no doubt.

You'll not find this in any publication but a few years ago a CO made a veiled attempt to tell us that cybering with someone would be considered sex. The he leaves us with the question "So then would a mate be free to remarry in this case?" Well it turns out that he didnt have the answer either, he was just insinuating something hoping for us to think of cybersex in a certain light.
You jogged my memory there...I remember a CO saying somewhere along the way that "cyber sex" and "phone sex" is sex and DFable as porneia. So maybe she could divorce him for "cybering", I dunno. If that's the case, I think a whole lot more people could get divorces

Phone Sex was actually highlighted as being an offense wherein someone would be guilty of uncleaness or lose conduct which according to the elders book could be a DF offense, this was a verbal instruction given from a CO. He certainly wouldnt qualify for privileges but it is not grounds for a scriptural divorce under WT guidelines since porneia needs to involve another human or beast with lewd intent.

That's what I thought, but this CO was pretty heavy-handed about it. Maybe he was "going beyond the things written".
JWs (in general) are so sexually repressed its pathetic anyway.

I am still in shock, but not before I reminded my mom what an intolerant anti sex, zealous hypocrite he was, all those years telling us how we should lead our lives. My mom of course had no comment.
I have found this to be true with most people, not just JW. If they are more conservative and anti-sex than most people, then they are usually tempted by it and are probably indulging in it. I call it the Jimmy Swaggart effect. People in glass houses and all of that... you know?
I specifically remember one talk where he blasted a popular spanish television childrens show, and told all the parents in attendence not to allow their kids to watch beacuse the characters would talk about liking this person or other, boyfriends and maybe even an innocent kiss.
That Plaza Sesamo is so debased! They keep pushing the envelope! Before you know it they will have full frontal muppets.

IMHO, what stands out the most is the arrogant attitude concerning elders (COs and DOs for "appointing" them) in the first place. The WTS claims that they are chosen by holy spirit, yet we see time after time that these men were practicing unchristian qualities at the time of their appointments!
Yes of course we know that men are imperfect, God knows we've heard it enough times but when they are exhibiting "secret sins" like incest, pedophelia, molestation, looking at pornography, oral sex, anal sex,and many other admittedly "wrong practices" (WTS views) then one would think that the holy spirit must be blind. (It isn't)
All the while these men are taking the LEAD in the congregations spiritual growth and rarely do these men openly confess these sins. They are nailed when someone else catches them, and sets an ultimatum "either you tell or I will" and the secrets come out.
The holy spirit had nothing to do with it and the WTS has never been able to prove that it has! (Yet another example of what is claimed and what they cannot prove) This is a "religion" that sets the bar very high (supposedly) and expects others to live up to it. Oddly enough-THEY don't live up to it! Oh, yeah, I forgot---they are imperfect dontcha know!
The sad and misleading thing is that with this (as well as many other WTS teachings) makes these claims as being the "chosen by God" religion, yet when situations are revealed that indeed they are not......then they trot out all the excuses to absolve themselves in everyone's eyes.
This is when one begins to see the similarity with all the religions they put down as being from Satan! The WTS is the epitome of grand deception.
