re: afin's post about how she wished she had read the poem before she got married...
AFIN, you are suggesting that you wished you had followed a course you felt would have guaranteed marital success. One cannot guarantee marital success, no matter what. If you had read the poem and decided not to marry at all, well then you could have guaranteed yourself no marital problems. Otherwise, your logic has nothing to back it up. The poem assumes *all* "worldly" men will beat you, give you HIV, and leave you. Can you honestly say you think this is true? And how can you say this could not happen if you marry a "brother". You cannot.
Coulda shoulda woulda doesn't get you anywhere now. In fact, I'm inclined not to believe your story about a bad marriage in the first place. Sorry, but that's how it looks to me. A little bit transparent.
When you said in another post, that everyone goes through a few rebellious years and then returns to the Watchtower, it's pretty obvious that your transparent attempt to discourage "apostates" is simply not true. If it has happened that someone fully knows the lies they are going back to and does it anyway, I would say that's the exception, not the rule.
What happened? Slow day in field service?
