When I said the elders saw thru you so easily .. I was so right!!! You are virtually transparent. Your feeble attempt to make me feel bad because hubby may be cheating is absolutely laughable!!!

Wait a minute...Afin do you think your husband is cheating? Aw that's tough!

I guess i get kind of bewildered by the way you completely go off topic and miss the point of things AFIN but maybe that is deliberate.

It is 100% deliberate. She strains the gnat, but gulps the camel.

I made no secret about my motives to the elders. After my first trip to the kingdom hall to copy thier quotes, my wifes friend said " i am beginning to think hes just trying to prove us wrong". My wife looked at her and said "he is". This all came about because a brother who is an elder came to my house and challenged me to prove them wrong. I took the challenge and then when he got the questions he wouldnt answer them. Its all very laughable when you look back on it. I guess he never thought i would research thier crap so much.

no gringojj ... the elder quit answering you because of your apostate ways. Big difference. for Kwin ... I said apostate ways. gringojj is not apostate but is exibiting apostate ways.

You have to be baptised to be an apostate. I am baptised and am an apostate yet not disfellowshipped for apostacy.

AFIN, you have admitted you cannot judge an elder's competence based on testimony from this board, as you have no way to judge how one-sided it may be. In light of that, do you wish to modify this statement of yours?

I have not seen an elder refuse to answer any honest request, in fact they are most happy to. What is your reasoning?

re: afin's post about how she wished she had read the poem before she got married...

AFIN, you are suggesting that you wished you had followed a course you felt would have guaranteed marital success. One cannot guarantee marital success, no matter what. If you had read the poem and decided not to marry at all, well then you could have guaranteed yourself no marital problems. Otherwise, your logic has nothing to back it up. The poem assumes *all* "worldly" men will beat you, give you HIV, and leave you. Can you honestly say you think this is true? And how can you say this could not happen if you marry a "brother". You cannot.

Coulda shoulda woulda doesn't get you anywhere now. In fact, I'm inclined not to believe your story about a bad marriage in the first place. Sorry, but that's how it looks to me. A little bit transparent.

When you said in another post, that everyone goes through a few rebellious years and then returns to the Watchtower, it's pretty obvious that your transparent attempt to discourage "apostates" is simply not true. If it has happened that someone fully knows the lies they are going back to and does it anyway, I would say that's the exception, not the rule.

What happened? Slow day in field service?

AFIN I was just looking through your history on this board. Looks like you joined about a year ago and in your very first post ever here on JWD you said this...

I'm new here so am sorry for double posting. Maybe when I get used to posting here, I'll have a few questions to post that I need answers to. While we all have baggage, the problems I have, have not been discussed here that I know of.

Well I looked and you have only started one thread in your whole existence. So what are the problems you have? I would really like to know what questions brought you to a mostly apostate board. Its been over a year and as far as i can tell you havent asked them. In any case I have never been baptised. So when the elder came here the first time i was and i still am a potential convert. His reason for challenging me was he wanted me to investigate things so I would see they are right. Well I saw that they had some ideas that made sense and alot that didnt. So i wanted to find out why this misquoted Darwin in the creation book. If they could show me proof that they hadnt then i would be closer to baptism. But instead they wont answer my questions. Surely an org that calls themselves the truth is honest right? AFIN?

Omg! I married a "worldly" man and have never been beat by him, he hasn't ever given me a STD, good lord he's HIV free, and he has never played around on me. Is that strange or what?

AFIN just sent me a PM. She said she has reached her limit here for a while. I guess they banned her again. I am not exactly sure why i think we were finally getting her into a corner it was quite amusing. Anyways she said she can see why the elders tell her to stay away from the net because its just trying to tear down what they built up.
