I had glanced at the avatar a few times thinking it was a pile of potatoes....then after about the 10th time of seeing it out of the corner of my eye I was like um....those look like boobies.

There are lazy people in all races. America is going downhill fast. People today feel entitled to everything whilst working the minimum. Too many minorities are looking to blame Whitey and not look in the mirror. Bill Cosby has made some interesting comments on blacks in America.

People in the US get their knickers in a wad when you talk about race, like you can't draw any analogy and mention a race or you get called a racist. President Fox's comments about blacks are true as Mexicans in the US do most of the menial labour. His comparison was made as the blacks usually have the lowest jobs and Mexicans are below them.

Lets stop being too PC and blaming Whitey for society's woes. Other groups have come, succeeded and made a good name for themselves, is it a coincidence that they didn't blame Whitey, the man or Santa Claus for keeping them down? I vote for the Easter Bunny keeping them down, he is white and fuzzy and I bet he can't dance or jump!

I'll pretend this is a serious question and answer it seriously.

But first, a bit of background.

I grew up in the part of Fort Worth that went black first and my only friends as a child were black kids. The other kids at school found out and would call me "nigger lover". That was at a time before Civil Rights began to erode prejudices. I was raised by my grandparents; mostly my grandmother. She grew up in New Orleans where there was little prejudice at all and her spirit affected my attitudes.

Fast forward.

In County Jail before prison I was packed in a cell with 20 other inmates, mostly black. They were despicable in every way, but, so were the few white men.

Once in prison I was approached by a black inmate who feigned interest in JW's (telling me his wife was one.) He got me to accompany him to a part of the prison where nobody was around and proceeded to grab me from behind and dry hump me while threatening to knock me unconcious and take what he wanted. I resisted and kept talking to him calmly. Finally, he relented.

I think your query is meant to imply I have a negative attitude toward blacks because I personally have experienced something negative. I've had both good and bad experiences. But, my attitude is largely neutral. There are good and rotten people in every race.

I don't give anyone a pass who prove themselves to be worthless, however. I call it as I see it. The blackness or whiteness is largely irrelevent.

I am not in the states and the black people we have here are from africa, they are working really hard. Doing every job they can find, the jobs most white people just won't. Allmost all are working and they use the money to send it home.

I think they set a pretty nice example.

Well alot can be said. Any comments on Bill Cosby? Blacks are one of the few groups that still has not risen up, even with affirmative action programmes. They have made advances but not to the levels of other groups. There isn't an easy answer or solution. Accountability, however and proper role models would go a long way. With clowns like Jesse Jackson (let me smear myslef in MLKs blood so I can make some $$$) and Al Sharpton (bad hairdo and rush to claim racism worldwide) who can a black child look up to? 50 Cent?

A group cannot act different and then cry that they are treated differently.

I am hispanic but do I shave my head and have a ghoatee and wear plaid shirts and dickies? And also If I called everybody "ese" and "homie". If so, then whose fault would it be that I am looked at and treated differently. I could scapegoat whitey and still be down, albeit with a lame excuse for my failures.

I'm not saying lose your culture or who you are but there is a time and place for everything.

American blacks are way different than others in the world. I've travelled extensively including Africa. Also American blacks differ in areas. The ones with the worst attitudes are in the larger cities. The southern blacks are very nice and hospitable. The most unhospitable blacks, as a group, I've seen live in the USA. Nowhere else in the world do they walk with an air of superiority and attitude. In other countires they act like everybody else. This, I feel, is the main reason that they are not in favour with people in the USA. In Mexico there are all skin colours and blacks don't act differently.
