The society gets to rent out district convention sites for free!!!??

My PERSONAL Complaint concerning Jehovah's Witnesses
by fulltimestudent ini was not much more than 16 when i became interested in the jws.
i was an idealistic, unrealistic (read, romantic) kid, concerned at the suffering of so many people as a result of ww2 and its aftermath.. i guess that made me an ideal target for the kingdom message.
but strangely the person who told me about the witnesses wasn't one.. where i worked, we often had quite deep discussions during morning tea breaks, and a non-witness kept bringing up the ideas of the witnesses.

My wife and i, cake for our daughters...hm
by Jon Preston inso recently it was my daughters b-day and my wonderful wife thought of a great idea....lets get her a cake.
so some family came to town and we did cake and a few gifts.
interesting developments as my wife and i have not been to the meetings in abouuuuuut a month....and have been incredibly irregukar in attendance the past six months.

I am having trouble believing in God...
by thedepressedsoul ini was raised a jw and i am still one but recently i have been having trouble believing in a god.
this is not meant to offend anyone who does, i am just curious to see if i am the only one who thinks this..... to start, i am a very black and white person.
if 1+1=2 it makes sense to me and i can agree with it.

Really bizarre part on the meeting last night
by stillin inon the service meeting there was a part covering a couple of pages from the tms guidebook chapter on warmth and feeling.
rather than coaching the r&f on how to make a school talk sound warm, it focused on the people that jws meet in their ministry.
basically, the part could have been labelled "how to fake warmth and feeling.

I don't have problems with athiests. They can rent billboards and scream it from the mountain tops as far as i'm concerned. I DO have a problem with the freakshow at the house of jw. The ambient abuse, entrapment, and stoning that goes on crosses the line in my book ; but honestly i don't care any more.....as long as they stay away from my family.

You know what. Money is loaned in to existence. So it's all relative. The money supply and debt ceiling curves have gone vertical. So what. We are all better off. Even the jeho's benefit from indoor plumbing and the bridges that bring them all their luxuries of daily living. These jw's should join the human race and get off of their high horse. But we all know this will never happen. So get on with your life.
