Oh BTW, I'm stumbled by that woman's 3-inch spike heels and pointed toes. Too worldly!

I think the only denim that is wrong is blue denim. Denim can be white, black, green, red, yellow and brown. I doubt the elders would recognize denim in any color but blue.

Three times a week - about 1 hour 15 minutes each time - includes 1/2 hour cardio and 3/4 hour lifting weights. Sometimes I substitute an hour of water aerobics.
Been doing it for nine years.

What Are Your Favorite WT Quotes/Teachings? Most Ridiculous or Hilarious Ones.
by mentallyfree31 inwhen you look back over the 130 year history of wt, what is the most bizzare/ridiculous/hilarious/absurd teaching or quotes that you have found?.
one of the ones i find hilarious is during the beth-sarim affair, rutherford announced that the world was laughing and mocking them because they don't believe the resurrection is going to come to pass when they said it was.
rutherford went on to say in effect "we will show them when people start coming back from the graves"... lol.

I just found one that I've never seen on this forum.
"Beyond doubt the old but awake 'faithful and discreet slave' stands today as a wonder watchman to the peoples of the nations." WT 7-15-60, page 438.
Is that anything like Wonder Woman?

Would 2 young Witnesses stuck in an elevator with no Chaperon really commit fornication? Realistic??
by Witness 007 inyes witness theology claims that 2 people {regardless of sex} left alone in a room will start bonking.....does this happen all the time in real life???
maybe in a penthouse magazine!
i have never heard of two people say, stuck in an elevator or broken down bus getting so hot and bothered that they start bonking....it's completly nuts.

The last district assembly I attended had an elevator to the next floor. They had an elder assigned to take every trip--just in case something might happen.

How Do People Like Sir 82 & Others Who Are Active JWs Do It ???
by minimus ini appreciate any who tell us what the latest co's talk is about or what was said at the meetings.
i just don't know how you can do it.
knowing that the "truth" is false and even laughable, it boggles my mind that you can still go, listen to the spiritual bullshit and maintain.. how do you do it?.

I haven't been to a meeting (other than the Memorial) in the last 4 years. Before that, when I was taking my father to the meetings, I would take a Spanish Bible with me and look up all scriptures with the goal of learning at least ten new Spanish words every meeting. That way I could look attentive while I was doing something constructive. It still wan't easy, but I was trying to keep him happy. Didn't matter, the rest of the family informed him of my "doubts" and I won't go into the rest.

I remember being over-awed by him as a teenager. I thought that someday I would acquire enough wisdom to understand him. Didn't realize it was all BS.

How did 1975 effect your family? here's mine...
by Aussie Oz ini just spent a few days with my dad.
i asked a few questions about the time when mum became a witness which i know is still, 38 years later, a painful thing for him to talk about.
in the course of it, he also learned some stuff that he did not know about the pressures of the times.. as i expected, mum and dad have different versions of this time, and it is pretty hard to find the real truth in it and in some ways it does not matter anymore.. mums version: she first was contacted in echuca late 1960s and dad put a stop to it.

If you were older than 6 or 7 you heard this week after week, meeting after meeting, assembly after assembly, circuit overseer after circuit overseer.
You're right about that. Our son remembers that when he was age 7 (1974) his 9-year old sister told him she wanted to get baptized before 1975 because the end was coming. Recently, he reminded her of that and she denied it. The 1975 issue is one of the reasons my daughter has cut Clyde and me off. I dared to mention it to her a few years ago, and she claims it never happened. She has been one of the victims of a malady that has spread throughout the organization called "collective amnesia."
