it seems that genesis is chock full of goodies to make yhwh look less than the loving, impartial, fair god so many think they worship.. here is another one i just thought of.. yhwh decides to turn lot's wife into a mound of salt for the horrible crime of "looking back" toward her home.

this is brought up often by jws who use the story to tell jws not to look at the things behind.. we all know god is consistent and never changes so compare what happens later.. lots daughters cannot seem to find any man around so they conspire two nights in a row to get their father drunk, and have sex with him two nights in a row.

gods response?-...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.............. there isnt one .

Yes indeed!

It is accounts like this that we used to just gloss over and hope our 'newly interested' ones wouldnt notice!

If anyone asks about it, just come up with a story about how 'we dont know the full account, or Jehovah knew what was going on, or leave the details in his hands, or blah blah blah'

BUT when it comes to other biblical accounts, we would delve deeply into the accounts, looking for lessons and modern day applications etc!...

I had fun with this account once when casually chatting to friends in the cong over coffee when we heard of the awful account of the girl in the states who was held captive for years in the basement by that sicko guy, or the Austrian father who held his daughter captive etc... After the weeks bible reading section, I simply said, hmmm...its as sick as those accounts hey!?

I would love to let kids watch these instead of the 'caleb / sofia' clips on JW.ORG Maybe something will help them develop their own critical thinking skills!?!

I have made my decision

i'm sure most of you have read bits and pieces of my story throughout the last year being on this site.

i've decided as a human being, and as an adult, i'm going to make the decision on whether to stay with the jw religion or leave it.

i of course have many doubts about the organization which has lead me to do research.

If the memory is clear, you can get hours on an average iphone.

JUST REMEMBER TO SWITCH IT TO SILENT FIRST SO THAT IT DOESNT BEEP WHILE RECORDING EVERY FEW MINS...

if they are honest with their claim, they wil have to leave this world altogether:.

1) in their bethels, brothers should compulsorily wear a neck-tie, which is actually a phallic symbol!.

i remember when i was a kid going on vacation somewhere with my family, my parents would always have to find out where the local kingdom hall was.

god forbid we should miss a meeting because we were actually enjoying our time away from work and school..
