In the UK the media is now writing about a big political cover-up of child abuse that was committed by senior public figures during the 70's and 80's. Child abuse was everywhere !
those few cases where witnesses were involved are not important enough to make a real impact or impression

i would love to spend about 3 hours on a plane discussing things with one of these spiritual giants..
i know from my own experience that Gerrit Losch did not have bodyguards
i read on here posts about looming lawsuits and/or mulit-million dollar settlements that have struck fear into the wt society.. we all know about the candace conti case.
it gained enough notoriety through news outlets.
and i know that there are many many more accusations and cases against brothers and former brothers.
its wishfull thinking,.. speculation. Exept for some out of court cases a few years ago that were settled for a couple of million dollars not much did happen.
are all articles from jehovahs thoughts or do personal biased views poison the watchtower articles?
imagine a brother who hates chess observing in discust two bethelites playing chess...would it be right to use jehovahs "spiritual food" to push your own warped view....yes!!.

i learned to play chess in the 70's with the help of several brothers, one of them was an elder. Chess was not banned at all

also the told people to not place orders for daily texts or calendars if they had the ability to download these.
who downloads a calendar?
we were told to place our order for daily text books, calenders , yearbooks, bound volumes and the Watchtower Lbrary cdrom before the 1st of July. Nothing was said about downloading and printing.
if the ultimate goal is to reach as many people as possible with the kingdom message, why does the society find it necessary to block any public access to the new dvd?.
could it be because the public will see how vacuous their teachings are?
producing this propaganda is a new low even for them.
90% of the conventions stll have to take place so they wont have things already out there... it must be a suprise
this weeks km is telling elders to arrange for group studies with people in local nursing homes, with instructions on how to word things when speaking to the directors etc.. they are clearly trying to get to people who may not be entirely able to think for themselves or who may lack critical thinking and yet may have money to leave to them.. what can you do?.
well, if you wanted to, write a short and simple letter or email to your local care home, perhaps directly even speak to the director yourself... warn them about the brainwashing and danger of breaking up of families etc.
the km says they should identify themselves as jw's... .
overhere they already have group sessions with elderly people in local care/nursing homes. Most of the time only biblestories are read aloud and a bible trivia is being done
i just got back from the district convention and watched the new video.
can't remember what it is called but the main family live in a million dollar home and there teenage daughter drives a red convertable sports car.
probably worth about 50000$.
there is nothing wrong with being a millionaire, i know several of them in my congregation and circuit
does anyone know if any of the current governing body members became a jw as an adult, or were all of them raised and bred a jw from childhood?.
i have a theory that the jws that are "born in" and stay in tend to be more extreme and less reasonable because that is all they have ever known, especially if they are sheltered and groomed to be a good little jw.. and i was just looking at what i could find about the newest and youngest member, mark sanderson.
he was born on february 4, 1965, and he was baptized on february 9, 1975 ... a few days shy of turning 10 years old!
Gerrit Loesch was not a born in , he was a Roman Catholic.

The Witnesses are stuck in the door-to-door-salesman routines of a pre-electronic world, with no electronic outreach except watchtower.org, which no one will ever find unless he goes to look for it.
I think JW's have solved this problem since september 2012 with JW.ORG and their publicity campaigns, ipads, showing short movies to householders and so on.
