  in addition to the noah's ark nonsense, this idea of praying for others was one that led me away from the bible.

  1) Some one who cares for Dave and tells Jerry. Jerry goes to help Dave.
  2) Jerry sees Dave needs help, even though he has never met or heard of him before.
  3) Jerry says “Stuff Dave he's not getting my help."

  i'm curios of what the watchtower society thinks about the year 2012. i think they russell should've used the mayan calendar, and not the pyramids.

  at least he would have something in common with the rest of the prophets.

  why does the 'society' continue to erroneously collate its 'peak publisher' figures by counting two (or more) reports for the same publisher in a single month?

  I could never understand the thing about "Peak publishers"

  In the 2007 report theres about a 3,000 difference between the "average" and "peak" publisher numbers, 122,000 to 125,000 aprrox.

  I used to think where do those 3,000 go to?

  it is immigration that explains the vast majority of the increase.. who is it that immigrates?

  the poorest of the poor, the desperate ones that would be dead from starvation or execution by gangs/guerillas within 5 years anyway.

  these were not the ones being converted in their home countries - when you have to work 14-18 hours a day, 7 days a week just to feed your family, there is no time to "study", attend meetings, go out in field servce, etc.. so, they go to their new country.
