  Embarrassing Doorstep Questions

  Interesting statement made by CO. Is this new?

  in his first talk of the week the co mentioned that people don't get df'd for joining the military or registering to vote because they are already gone, as compared with smoking secretly, which would merit df'ing.. i have been toying around with registering to vote in the next election (us) so this intrigues me..

  We had a case locally (USA) where some dumb a$$ elders tried to df a young man for joining the military. The branch wrote back and demanded they resind his df'ing and destroy ANY record of his being df'd "for that reason". They also noted that if he had committed some sin as defined in the ks book that, of course, he could be df'd for that...

  As others have noted, taking a "nonnetural" stance is a DA situation, not a DF, wink wink.

  i don't know if you guys all know (depends how big this website is) that i have some jw friends.

  i'm interested in their belief (luckily no desire to belief it :p) because it's kind of a mystery what really happens in a jw organisation.

  hello all... i currently studying the bible teach book and i'm just curious what information does the study conductor record about the student and is it passed on??

  and they keep on saying "the truth" which is starting to get on my nerves.

  Study reports were done away with about 10 years ago, but it dosent change the advise:  comming from both former witnessed and many of us who are still stuck in this cult, dont do it.

  My sister was invited to a Judicial Committee

  today i called to my sister and she told me that two elders went to her house to announce her that a judicial committe is waiting her in the kingdom hall this friday.

  she told them that she will confirm if she will go.

  however, i have told her that she shouldn't go, instead she should ask them to write a formal letter, with signatures, asking her for which charges she should be submitted in a private room with two men (or three?

  What sir82 says is true.  There is, however, an another way to deal with it, a cheaper one. 

  Go ahead and go. If its only two its not a judicial committee, they are "investigating".  She can sit down and lie to their mizerable faces. They will have no proof. There will be no committee. I stopped feeling bad about lying to this org right around the time i realized there was no panda waiting for me in paradise.

  *** km 9/74 p. 8 question box ***as jehovahs servants we.....................do not want to give others the impression that the tetragrammaton is the symbol of jehovahs witnesses as a whole.

  we have no organizational symbol to identify ourselves but show that we are jehovahs christian witnesses by living in harmony with gods will.john 13:35.. don't you just love those "old" lights?.

  rev 17:9 describes something about the "woman", the harlot, babylon the great:.

  and there are seven kings: five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet arrived, but when he does arrive he must remain a short while.. i was dreaming about this verse last night, so i thought i'd look it up.

  To be direct, yes i have heard the same application but its far from new.  And an homest open minded reading of the scripture makes it clear that spritually was not the topic being discussed.
