if you were still in the jw religion and wanted out, and an opportunity was presented to you to leave everything behind and escape your jw life, would you have taken it?.

when i was 15, my brother had mentioned that i could come and live with him at age 16 if i wanted to, away from the jw religion, away from my parents.

i was seriously considering it, but it never happened.

Personally I didn't just wake up one day and think..hey I'm tired of this bull !

It was a culmination of disappointments stretched over 30yrs in the borg that led to my realization that this was just another cult.

Looking back I clearly remember times when I had had enough, but being the eternal optimist that I am I actually prolonged my pain.

Leaving the cult was almost as joyous as an Alcoholic quitting booze and experiancing Sobriety and clarity for the first time

Memorial Schemorial... what did you do instead that tops my weekend?

well, saturday i went to a haunted house in the middle of the night;.

sunday i watched the ten commandments and had a dube.

i fell asleep.

eating the emblems AFTER memorial...

sorry this is a little late for a memorial post, but did any of ya'll eat the emblems like it was just ordinary food immediately after the memorial?

they always did this at my kh, even the elders would be handing it out and we always would fight over who got a piece of the "bread.

" this usually occured out in the parking lot after most of the new/interested people had already high tailed it outta there.

Drank the cheap wine and at the crackers in the 2nd School after the Memborial once. It was nasty !

Most of the other elders had left so the remaining three of us packed up all those cheary crappy metallic fold up nasty JW chairs...what started it all was the smell of the booze . Istnt it funny how booze can smell so good inside the hall !

Gave me acid reflux !

At first I thought it may be the Grim Reaper at the door....then I turned the bottle over and saw the discount sticker...it wasn't the Grim Reaper after all just those cheapy JW's . I think I actually saw a toe nail at the bottom of the bottle. Probably from some peasant winery in Bosnia .Definitely a JW WMD secret potion.

Should We Form A Committee?

dansk recently asked us to write and protest about the erection of a kh in bury, lancashire.. many of us did just that and the newspaper concerened emailed most of us asking for permission to publish our comments in it's weekly issue.. it was also suggested that maybe we could also write to df'ing committees to protest at their actions.. so, we're wondering, should we form some sort of committee to co-ordinate operations such as this on an ongoing basis?.

if we did that, who would be interested in playing an active part?.

any suggestions as to how such an operation should be run?.

Are you in favour of a Committee or not ? After researching your topic posts I am confused as to why you are arguing on this thread.

A legitimate question was asked. Should we form a committee ? The question was not should we start a new WT spin off !
